My journey in decision-making began in childhood after my father’s passing, which left my mother seeking support from me. This unusual role developed my awareness of long-term consequences and pragmatic choices. Fast forward towards my career, I often received feedback that I was “not aggressive enough,” but was very “nice” — this highlighted my tendency toward people-pleasing, which also impacted my decision-making. In my opinion, making decisions is the most important skill a freelancer has to develop. Being myself my own business, in most cases I’m the only one “in charge” and every decision falls on me. I always knew I wanted to turn my passion into my career, which in my case, it’s always been music. I went from being an artist, to becoming a producer and more recently becoming also a mixing and recording engineer.
