Finding my purpose has been a journey of self-discovery that has been shaped by my love for music and my entrepreneurial spirit. My passion for music began in elementary school when I joined the school band and started playing the trombone. This experience ignited a spark in me that I never knew existed. I fell in love with the art form and began exploring other ways to express myself musically. Read More>>

I found my purpose during Covid-19 like so many others! I realized I was extremely passionate about helping small businesses grow and connecting with them all. It’s such a pleasure to help someone and seeing their face light up. There is truly nothing like it, and I want to keep connecting with small business owners/restaurants as long as I can! Read More>>

After my last corporate job in 2016, I went on a series of interviews within that same profession. I was excited to be considered, but none were a mutual fit. I turned to art as a way to offset this very stressful process, both creating it and spending a lot of time in galleries, museums and other art spaces. This created a path that led from developing my own skills as an artist to launching K.Co Arts, which combines my professional experience and creative expertise to deliver arts and culture content, program planning and experiences, and art tour consulting services. Well, honestly I feel like my purpose fell into my lap. You see, after leaving the industry I became a High School Computer Teacher. One of my frustrations as a teacher was not receiving the actually supplies I requested at the beginning of the school year. Needless to say, I took those lists very seriously (probably too serious) once I became a parent. I didn’t want to be THAT parent. Read More>>

I discovered a passion for film and the technical knowledge behind the mechanisms that occur behind the scenes at a very early age. A friend of mind let me borrow the Star Wars Trilogy in grade school and I think that really opened my mind to the possibilities that film contained. I’d take Star Wars toys and I’d film their individual motions one frame at a time until it resembled something called stop motion animation. They weren’t particularly good but that was certainly the launch point for my interest in filmmaking. Read More>>

Finding my purpose is something I have had in me for as long as I can remember. I just didn’t think about it until I was at my whit’s-end. It’s a passion we all have in us. Each individuals find theirs at their own pace. Some may never find it. The trick is to listen to yourself. Ask yourself some questions… Do you have a passion and Is it something you feel good about? Does your purpose help others or is this a selfish idea you have that will only benefit you? Read More>>

I remember from the earliest age, 8-9 years old- my love of music was real & has never left me. My father, an amateur musician would play in the house & I fell in love with it. His instrument was the mandolin. Mine became the guitar. We would often play together. I would accompany him as he played the folk songs from his native village in Abbruzzo, Italy. My dream was to one day, travel the world, playing my guitar. I have realized that dream. Read More>>

I think this is the question of the year for me! More so the idea of purpose, how we attain it, know it, and live in it has been an echoing question in my mind, for myself, and has become a focus on my podcast (which I can circle back to why that is). In a simple answer I would say by looking deeply at my interests, what brings me joy, and also what makes me feel fulfilled has helped guide me to knowing my purpose. Read More>>

Back in 2018, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Prior to that diagnosis, I had no warning signs or symptoms, no indications that a diagnosis was coming. This shocking news came at the height of my career as a psychotherapist, and it caused me to have to rethink the way that I had been living, because whatever I was doing leading up to that diagnosis was clearly making me sick. I found my purpose by trial and error. I spent many years growing up confused as to what I am meant to do in life. Lately, these past few years I have learned that my purpose is to spread positivity from the work that I do on a day to day basis. By that I mean every person I come into contact with no matter the interaction, should feel a positive vibe while communicating with me. There is so much negativity in this world that the only way we can really make an actual difference is to spread positivity and happiness with others. It’s a slow process that will eventually make a difference. Read More>>

The goal is to be fulfilled while fulfilling, and I believe that is where the purpose lies for most of us. The journey itself is about defining what those parameters look like. Through an intentional journey of self-reflection and awareness, I found my purpose. I took time to think about what brings me joy in life and discovered that at the root it was family and friends. It took me a very long time to find my purpose. I was lost in the world, I did a lot of things I enjoyed for free trying to figure out what I truly loved. In fact, the journey of finding my purpose started back in 2020; the pandemic forced me to tap into all the areas of myself when and I am very grateful the world shut down during that time, well all needed that. Corey was into all reptiles including snakes since he was a child. I (Erin) was terrified of snakes. We went to a local reptile show and I wanted to hold a snake to get over my fear. I fell in love. From there, snakes were like potato chips – we really couldn’t have just one. Read More>>

I found my purpose by isolating myself. Unfortunately, my isolation period was forced upon me…it wasn’t a choice. God showed me that he was real during that time. I started to build a relationship with him from scratch. That time period was the most comfortable/ uncomfortable I had ever been. Through lots of prayer, meditation, and journaling, God revealed to me what my purpose was. Read More>>

You will often hear quotes that say something along the lines of, “There’s purpose in the pain.” That type of saying really bothered me initially until I learned to embrace that there may be some truth behind that. Just like any of us, I can recall being a little girl with big dreams. I knew I wanted to help and heal, but I thought that meant that I would be a veterinarian. Turns out, the help and heal part actually applied to people for me. Read More>>

I was very intrigued by this question, particularly the part about painting a picture. My grandfather, John Emmett Gerrity, was a pretty well-known painter in California in the mid-20th century. His paintings were proudly displayed all over my house and the houses of my cousins. It was very inspiring but also intimidating. Read More>>
