We were lucky to catch up with Prana Kishore Bommireddipalli recently and have shared our conversation below.
Prana Kishore, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
The Recording Academy the Grammys invited Prana Kishore Bommireddipalli in July 2024 to become their Voting Member for being very creative in his compositions and due to his extensive work as a Singer, Song Writer, Music Composer, and Music Producer.
Prana Kishore says “Keeping one’s creativity alive” is very simple and he does the following:
1 SWOT Analysis is a concept used in marketing by multinational companies for their companies and products. Prana Kishore with his Senior Corporate Executive background is familiar with this concept except that he uses this on himself. Strength-Weakness-Opportunities-Threats. You can become very creative, if you focus on your weaknesses and threats.
2 Fear of Obsolescence meaning the process or fact of becoming old-fashioned and no longer useful is the fear he had which made him to become a constant learner even during the days he left the music field for a very lucrative corporate life. Prana Kishore feels one must have this fear in any job or career only then they will learn to strategize to be creative to be ahead in their industry.
The music industry is changing constantly and very fast. He learned to analyze trends in music, NextGen music tastes, recording software, Dolby Atmos 7:1:4, and Graphic Design to design his album covers, Making Videos, and Write PRs to do his publicity in the right media due to his drawback that he can’t talk much of himself despite his proven record of world-class achievements of winning many international awards in music as Singer, Song Writer, Music Composer, and Music Producer.

He also plays 10 Instruments, sings his own Chorus in 5 different Voices, is a Graphic Designer who designs his album covers, and even learned Music Recording Software, Logic Pro and Protools, and does his Marketing and Press Releases with a master’s degree in engineering, Management with Marketing Brand Management Experience. Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1-Team building is the no 1 skill one must develop because without a team we cannot exist in the music field or any field.
2-Giving Credit to persons, who work hard with you and support them to ensure they also succeed along with you
3-Net Working and Collaborations because according to Prana Kishore, there are no competitors in the music field and every artist has his or her own space to grow based on their talents. For example, one cannot become Michael Jackson just because his voice sounds like him, he still cannot dance and entertain like him on the stage. Musical talents are gifts from God and each one of us needs to find our niche where we are unique and develop other skill sets to succeed.
4-Keep your Ego in your bank locker because artists grow fast and fall even faster due to their ego and not because of their talents.
