Jenét Taylor shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Jenét, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A “normal” day for me is a blend of structure, service, and flexibility. I start my mornings grounding myself—reviewing my priorities, checking in with God, and setting intentions for the day ahead. From there, my time is divided between supporting churches and business leaders through Administry® of Excellence, overseeing projects, systems, and events that help organizations operate with clarity and excellence.
No two days look the same. One moment, I may be in strategy mode, helping a leader untangle their operations, and the next, I’m coordinating event details, reviewing systems, or supporting ministry initiatives—especially those connected to food access and community outreach. Throughout the day, I’m constantly shifting between leadership, problem-solving, and service.
What anchors my day is purpose. Everything I do is centered around providing RELIEF—helping leaders breathe easier, focus on their calling, and know they don’t have to carry everything alone.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Jene’t Taylor, and I’m the founder of Administry® of Excellence, a company built on the pillars of Giving, Serving, and Administration. I provide RELIEF and peace of mind to churches and businesses of all sizes by offering virtual administration services and leadership training—helping organizations move from overwhelm to structure so they can function with excellence. My work supports leaders who are carrying a vision but need systems, support, and strategy to sustain what they’ve been called to build.
What makes my work unique is that I don’t just offer administrative support—I serve as a strategic partner. With nearly three decades of IT experience, a background in project management, and over ten years in church administration, I help organizations function with excellence while staying aligned with their mission. My approach blends strategy, systems, and heart—because people matter just as much as processes.
At the core of my brand is service. A portion of every sale supports community impact initiatives, including food access through Christ Chapel Unadilla’s CCU Food Connection pantry. Everything I build—whether it’s leadership training, event management, or operational systems—is rooted in the belief that when leaders receive RELIEF, they’re able to give more freely and lead more effectively.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding sustainable support for churches and business leaders through training, membership programs, and large-scale events—creating spaces where excellence, service, and impact intersect.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I believe bonds between people are often broken by misunderstanding, unspoken expectations, and the pressure to carry things alone. When people feel unseen, unheard, or unsupported—especially during hard seasons—distance grows quietly. Pride, fear, and the lack of honest communication can create walls long before anyone realizes they’re there.
What restores those bonds is empathy, humility, and intentional care. Taking the time to truly listen, offering grace instead of assumptions, and showing up consistently—even in small ways—can rebuild trust. I’ve learned that restoration doesn’t always require grand gestures; sometimes it simply starts with presence, patience, and the willingness to serve one another with compassion.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell her that she doesn’t have to prove her worth by carrying everything alone. I would remind her that it’s okay to need help, not to have all the answers, and to take breaks without feeling like she’s failing. The responsibility she felt so early in life shaped her resilience, but it also taught her to equate strength with silence and endurance with success.
I would tell her that her value was always inherent—long before the titles, the accomplishments, or the ability to “hold it all together.” One day, she would learn that true strength isn’t just about pushing through, but about knowing when to release, when to rest, and when to let others walk alongside her. And that lesson would change how she leads, serves, and lives.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m deeply committed to the belief that leaders don’t have to burn out to be effective. For as long as it takes, I’ll continue building systems, support, and spaces that remind people they are allowed to lead with clarity, health, and sustainability. I believe rest, structure, and shared responsibility aren’t luxuries—they’re necessities.
This belief shows up in my work every day, whether I’m helping an organization strengthen its operations or investing in community impact that restores dignity and hope. I’m committed to the long work of proving that when leaders are supported, everyone connected to them thrives—and that kind of change is always worth the time it takes.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
I think they would miss the sense of RELIEF—knowing someone truly understands the weight they carry and is committed to helping them breathe again. My clients often tell me it’s not just the systems or strategies they value most, but the way I see them as people first, not just leaders or titles.
They would miss having a partner who brings calm into complex situations, who anticipates needs, and who stays steady when things feel overwhelming. More than anything, they’d miss knowing they’re not alone—that someone is walking alongside them with care, clarity, and a genuine desire to see them thrive.
