We recently had the chance to connect with Jojo Fasho and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Jojo , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Meditation, stretching, exercise, hydrate my body
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a rapper and also the host of Sorry Not Sorry Tha Podcast. I have numerous albums and mixtapes available on all platforms and my podcast is available on my YouTube channel.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest moment of feeling powerful was the first time I went to a recording studio and heard my voice on wax. I knew I had the ability to make great music people would enjoy.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I have had many trials and tribulations that had made me question giving up but I always seem to find a way to keep going. I don’t like to fail so quitting is something I’ve never been able to do.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
I believe in being myself 24 hours a day whether I’m in front of a camera or not. I don’t know how to fake for the industry or for the people in this world. What you see is what you get.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m in the recording booth. I’m able to release all my emotion on the record. It’s always been therapeutic for me.
