Juri Love on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Juri Love and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Juri , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Volleyball
Karate
Running
Beach Tennis
Steel Pan Band Practice
Piano
Singing

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, my name is Juri Love.

I am originally from Japan, living in Foxboro, Mass.
I am a journalist, model, actor, TV/Film Producer, Podcaster, Musician, Rotarian, Score Mentor, and single mother of two children.

I have a book out called “A Gift from Adversity” on Amazon.
It is my survival story of Child Sex abuse, Bullying, Homelessness, and Domestic Violence.

My Instagram is @juripanda

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
When I escaped from my abusive father at age 13 in Japan.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
PTSD from child sex abuse and every abuse that you can imagine.

Lack of self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-image.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes! 100%! I have nothing to hide and I am everywhere.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
Taking advantage of being in America.

I was born and raised in Japan.
Japan ranked 144th in gender gap in 2023 which is horrible considering our economy and technology are strong.

If I was still in Japan I would have had 1/100 of experiences that I was able to do in America due to social pressure, of just being a female.

I am fully aware that I am in the country where the talent and passion are celebrated and supported which I am taking a full advantage of it everyday.
