Kase on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Kase. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Kase, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Time with myself. I feel like I’ve been able to lock in and finish this new project along with other things I have planned for the end of the year.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Kase, an artist and entrepreneur. My website is KaseAP.com & the movement we’ve created intentionally blends music, purpose, and self-growth together. Through my art, I aim to inspire healing, empowerment, motivation and transformation personally and professionally. Everything I create comes from real experiences and a desire to help people connect with the best version of themselves.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful was when I created my first project, True Colors EP, and went on tour to places like Utah, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle. Seeing how people connected with my music in different cities was surreal, and then coming home to perform for over 500 people for the first time within just a year and a half of starting music really hit me. That moment made me realize that if I kept going, this could turn into something truly tremendous.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me that success doesn’t come without it they’re a pair. You have to be willing to feel the worst to experience the best. It’s like after the rain comes the rainbow and the sun, something beautiful always follows what’s perceived as darkness or suffering. It’s all necessary, and it creates its own kind of beauty. You learn to have real gratitude in those moments when you feel like you’re suffering.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Whose ideas do you rely on most that aren’t your own?
All of my ideas come from the most high. I have to make sure I’m in the best space in order to receive those ideas and guidance along the journey.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Have you ever gotten what you wanted, and found it did not satisfy you?
Yes of course. You later learn that the process of getting what you wanted is the satisfaction. Not the other way around.
