We recently had the chance to connect with Kateryna Armenta and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Kateryna, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Are you walking a path—or wandering?
For most of my life, I believed strongly in walking a planned path. I saw planning as essential—like having a map. If you don’t know your destination and the steps to get there, it’s almost impossible to move from point A to point B. That mindset helped me achieve a lot in my life, because I was very structured and focused.
But over the past few years, I’ve realized that wondering—or stepping away from the set path—is not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, it can be the doorway to discovering something far more meaningful than what you originally had in mind. Sometimes when you let yourself explore, you stumble upon a direction that feels more authentic, more aligned with who you truly are.
That’s exactly what happened to me. I stepped into the unknown, gave myself the freedom to wander, and followed my curiosity through books, learning, and exploration. That process led me to what I do now—sound and vibrational healing. It’s something I would never have found if I had rigidly stuck to my original map. And yet, it’s become the most beautiful and impactful path I could have chosen, because it allows me to help people on levels I never imagined even a few years ago.
So I would say today, I’m not just walking a path, and I’m not just wandering—I’ve learned the value of both. Planning gave me discipline and direction, but wandering gave me discovery and purpose. Together, they shaped where I am now.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello! I’m Kateryna Armenta, the heart and soul behind Harmonics of Life, a sanctuary of sound and serenity nestled in Lynn Haven/Panama City, Florida—right where the gentle waves of St. Andrew Bay meet whispering pines.
My path to holistic healing was shaped by both adversity and discovery. After immigrating from Ukraine in 2013, I navigated the challenges of building a life in a new country—starting as a sandwich artist at Subway and eventually serving as a community association manager. These experiences honed my empathy, resilience, and my understanding of people—qualities essential to the healing work I do today.
I later discovered my purpose in life coaching, dedicating more than four years to helping others gain clarity, overcome obstacles, and tap into their true potential. That transformational work deepened my awareness that real healing addresses more than just the mind—it embraces the body, energy, and spirit, too.
A deeply personal journey with motherhood propelled me further into holistic modalities, ultimately leading me to the powerful world of sound therapy. I became fascinated by instruments like crystal singing bowls, gongs, and tuning forks, which produce resonant frequencies believed to heal at the cellular level and promote inner harmony.
With dedication and rigorous training, I earned certifications in sound and vibrational therapy. Today, through Harmonics of Life, I offer both private and group sound healing sessions.
My dream for “Harmonics of Life” is to expand its reach even further, empowering more individuals with the harmony of sound healing.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
It’s interesting—because in my journey, it wasn’t one specific person, but rather the people around me who seemed to recognize my path before I fully stepped into it. After receiving my certifications in Reiki and Sound Healing, something almost magical began to unfold. People started approaching me, asking if I offered Reiki sessions—even before I had officially put it out into the world. And with Sound Healing, it was the same: as soon as I began sharing my fascination with it, people were already requesting private sessions.
That was a powerful realization for me—that sometimes others can see the gifts you’re meant to share long before you embrace them yourself. It felt as if the universe was gently nudging me forward through the voices of those around me, reflecting back a vision of who I was becoming before I even had the courage to fully claim it.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering has been one of my greatest teachers. While success can feel rewarding, it often reinforces what we already know. Pain and difficulty, on the other hand, open doors to lessons we could never learn in comfort. Through illness, loneliness, obstacles, and the challenges of starting over in a new country, I discovered resilience, empathy, and a depth of strength I never would have touched otherwise.
As a child, doctors doubted I would live because of severe illness. As a teenager, I struggled with depression and isolation. Later, I faced physical injuries from demanding work and the emotional weight of uprooting my life to begin again in a foreign land. Each of these moments felt like breaking points, but in truth they were shaping points. They carved out a version of me that could hold wisdom, compassion, and understanding not just for myself, but for others.
Suffering taught me patience. It taught me humility. It taught me that growth often hides in the very places we resist the most. Success may celebrate where we’ve arrived, but suffering has shown me who I truly am—and it’s that deep inner knowing that allows me to now hold space for others in their own healing journeys.
Without walking through those fires, I wouldn’t have become the person I am today, nor could I offer my clients the depth of healing and guidance that I bring now.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
For a long time, it wasn’t. I used to wear masks—shaping myself to look, act, or even dress like someone I thought people expected me to be. I tried to fit into versions of success or identity that weren’t truly mine, believing that was the only way to be accepted or taken seriously.
But in recent years, something shifted. I began stepping into my authentic self and realizing that I don’t need to pretend to be anyone else. I don’t need to look like other practitioners or mirror what someone else is doing in order to have value. The real power comes from showing up exactly as I am.
Now, the public version of me is the real me. And I’ve found that people are actually drawn to that honesty—they connect not because I’m perfect or polished, but because I’m genuine. That realization has been one of the most liberating parts of my journey.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Are you tap dancing to work? Have you been that level of excited at any point in your career? If so, please tell us about those days.
In the past, work often felt heavy. There were times when I dreaded showing up, when exhaustion or fear overshadowed any sense of joy. But today, in the work I do with sound healing, it’s a completely different story. I’m not just “tap dancing” to work—I’m actually dancing.
Because I used to be a dancer, movement is my way of expressing emotion. And now, when I prepare for a sound bath or set up for a one-on-one session, I often catch myself moving with excitement—dancing around the room as I arrange the space, or swaying with joy as I wait for clients to arrive. It’s not staged; it’s a natural overflow of the happiness and fulfillment I feel in this work.
I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited about any career path before. Every session feels like a celebration—not just of sound and healing, but of finally being aligned with what I was meant to do.
