We recently had the chance to connect with Kendra Hall and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Kendra, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I wake up around 4:00 a.m., pray, and journal for alignment. Then I train—lifting, cardio, or HIIT—to build discipline before the world wakes up. After that, I hydrate, read something short for growth, and review my top three priorities. Those 90 minutes set the tone for how I lead, write, and show up the rest of the day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Kendra Hall—author, speaker, and founder of Droppin’ Jewelz LLC and Jewelz Foundation Inc. My work lives at the intersection of storytelling, leadership, and youth empowerment. Through Droppin’ Jewelz, I help individuals and organizations tell their stories with clarity and purpose. Through the Jewelz Foundation, I design experiences that help teens lead with emotional intelligence and vision.
What makes my work unique is how it blends authenticity and strategy—I build systems that make creativity scalable and impact measurable. Whether I’m writing a book, hosting a teen summit, or leading a media campaign, my mission stays the same: to help people heal, lead, and speak from truth.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Pride breaks them. Listening restores them. Most people don’t need agreement, they need to feel understood. When you listen without waiting to reply, connection becomes possible again.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
When I started speaking publicly about my story as a teenage mother. For years, I carried shame in silence. Once I turned that pain into purpose, the same story that once embarrassed me started freeing other people. That’s when I knew transparency is power, not weakness.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
I believe timing is divine. No opportunity you were meant for will miss you. Every closed door is either protection or preparation.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That I made people believe in themselves again. That I helped them see that healing, purpose, and leadership can live in the same person. I want my life to say you don’t have to be perfect to be powerful—you only need to be willing.
