Khadija Hollis of Greenville on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Khadija Hollis. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Khadija , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
Stepping out on Faith, Hebrews 11:1 tells us, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” According to Oxford Languages, substance is defined as “the real physical matter of which a person or thing consists and which has a tangible, solid presence.” Evidence is “the available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid.”
So faith is not just a feeling or a wish it’s something real. It’s a solid foundation, and it carries weight. Faith is a tangible force that brings invisible hopes into visible reality. It connects what we believe with what we can eventually see.
Faith produces. Faith builds. Faith makes the unseen real.
So when we step out on faith, we’re not walking blindly we’re walking with substance and evidence behind us.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Khadija a mom on a mission, navigating this beautiful (and sometimes chaotic!) journey we call life.
By day, I’m a full-time employee and student. By night (and in between it all), you’ll find me doing Instacart runs.
I’m a podcaster and aspiring content creator with a heart for helping people grow in their faith let’s be real, life can be a lot, and faith is what keeps us grounded.
I believe in keeping it real, showing the behind-the-scenes of the hustle, and creating space for honest, uplifting conversations.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Honestly, for a long time, I didn’t know who I was because I was trying to be who the world told me I should be.
Society has this way of pushing us into molds that don’t fit. So I spent years trying to live up to expectations that had nothing to do with my purpose. I was chasing roles, titles, and images that felt safe or approved, but not true to who I was created to be.
But the turning point for me was realizing what the Bible says that we are in this world, but not of it. That reminded me that my identity isn’t defined by culture, trends, or opinions.
Before the world told me who to be, I was already chosen. Already called. I just had to unlearn the noise and reconnect with the truth.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There have been so many moments, but I’ll share one of my most recent experiences…
Right now, I’m living in a hotel juggling work and school full-time. Life has been a lot lately: overwhelming, stressful, and nonstop. Just when I felt like I was managing, life threw another curveball I started having car issues.
I couldn’t believe it. I was exhausted, and for a moment, I really felt like giving up.
To top it off, as I was literally waiting for the tow truck, my school advisor called to check in and asked, “Are you ready for your next class?” And honestly? I wanted to say, “Girl, absolutely not — I’m over it.”
But something in me said, “No. We’re not quitting.” So instead, I took a breath and said, “Actually, I’m good. Let’s keep going.”
That moment reminded me that even when life feels like it’s piling up, there’s still God given strength inside of me and sometimes, choosing to keep going is the most powerful thing you can do

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
I think they’d say it’s about being a mother raising happy children who understand themselves and know how to set boundaries. It’s also about my relationship with God, my family, and my friends. And of course, building a life filled with love, meaning, and purpose. At least, that’s what I hope they’d say.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Living for others, while also truly living for myself. Recognizing that this is the beautiful life God gave me and there’s only one me on this earth. No one else can do exactly what I can do; no one else carries the same gifts and talents I’ve been given. So I have to live fully, intentionally, and unapologetically.
