We’re excited to chat with Khadizah Amos about Becoming Supernatural: How Common People Are Doing The Uncommon. Check out our conversation below.
Khadizah, it’s always a great day when we have a chance to connect. Thanks for taking the time to share one of your favorite books with us. What can you tell us about Becoming Supernatural: How common people are doing the uncommon?
This book talks about how you can train your brain to tune into higher frequencies beyond our materialistic world by using meditation and positive thinking. Dr. Joe Dispenza also gives you instructions on how you can use meditation to heal yourself mentally, physically, emotionally even financially. There are amazing REAL stories that he talks about on how people suffered from different illnesses and being financially unstable but was able to completely turn their life around by doing the uncommon… which is healing.
Great, so maybe you can get into a bit more detail about why this book feels relevant to you and perhaps you can touch on any lessons or insights that resonated with you?
I went through a lot of different struggles from family matters, relationships, financial stability and so much more. I found it hard to meditate. This book taught me that my reality is literally in my own hands. I pretty much consider this book my guide book on life. I was able to teach myself patience when practicing meditation to always go within instead of looking at the outside world for help and guidance.
What are some of the key dilemmas this book brings to light?
Your thoughts becomes your reality. You can find peace, self-love, and guidance by sitting with your emotions, doing breath work and simply meditating. Once you train your mind to think positive your entire world will change.
Have you read other books that are similar to this one and if so, what are those books and what did you like or find interesting about those?
Yes, I have read “A Guide To Healing The Feminine Body, Mind, and Spirit. In this book, Queen Afua also talks about meditation, breath work, and rituals for self-care. I like how her book has step-by-step instructions, and I absolutely love how she incorporates different foods you should and herbs to assist with feminine self-care.
