We recently had the chance to connect with Kim Edwards and have shared our conversation below.
Kim, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day, start’s with prayer, and listening to my praise and worship music. After spending time with the Lord, I go to the Gym for my workout. After that I start my work day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello my Name is Kim I’m the founder of ‘God’s Proverbs31 Women’ online Christian Dating Website. I’m a woman of God and love the Lord. I enjoy teaching the word of God and seeing how it blesses people. I love to learn new things which include: other cultures, history etc… I’m much diversified with all races and enjoy traveling and seeing God’s creation through His eyes; as He has purposed for us to enjoy.
The purpose of this website is to educate people on the biblical principles of God’s word pertaining to godly relationships. This is my passion to share God’s heart to all people no matter your race, origin, education, status rich or poor. He wants us to know Him.
I have poured out my passion into this website because of the blessing it’s going to bring you. God wants to bless you ALL to the fullest and wants to minister His Love and understanding of successful godly relationships.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I believe what breaks bonds between people in general is people’s opinions. People will always have their opinions, which they feel are their truths. As long as you allow people to project their opinions on you. You will always be in bondage to their words. What I believe that can restore people is allowing them to be who they are, and understanding who they want to become.
No matter what I go through. No matter what people say about me, and things that have been done to me…
I will always serve Jesus Christ no matter what!!! This is how I can restore my bonds back to people.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes absolutely!
Actually, regards to my online dating website. It was hard trying to drive business to the website, and it was a lot of work trying to build a website that people could trust.
I realized a lot of people were apprehensive of ‘Christian Dating’ website due to people having the wrong motives i.e. using websites to scam innocent people out of their money and being a predator to destroy others for their own gain.
And trying to reassure them, that my website is a ministry to help people who have been hurt by relationships, and what God says about relationships, and knowing that you’re with the person that God has chosen for you.
I became very frustrated, trying to organically build my ministry with all the negativisms and doubt. I was ready to throw in the towel!!! Once I understood the spiritual warfare that I was fighting against, I knew I had to seek God and trust Him for His strength to continue on.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They would definitely say, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations, making sure that I stayed focus on the things of God. And representing myself as an ambassador of Jesus Christ, as well as growing in the things of God.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
They would definitely say, she shared the gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations. She stayed focus on the things of God. And represented herself well as an ambassador of Jesus Christ, and grow in the things of God.
Her love for God was phenomenal, And she would say, God is truly Faithful, Loving, Merciful, and Forgiving. He’s the God of grace.
One thing, I would hope people would remember about me is Grace. My former Pastor before going home to be with the Lord. Taught me the understanding and the importance on Grace.
He said …Grace is: God’s sovereign divine ability to get the job done on our behalf when we can’t do it.
My Story His Grace.
