We’re looking forward to introducing you to Kiran NAHAR. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Kiran, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I start my day with the Navkar Mantra, taking a moment to count my blessings. I give thanks for everything — from the simple comfort of my bed to the joy in my heart — and set my intention to be a light in the world, sending love and light to all living beings.
After a quick bathroom routine, I return to my bed for breathwork, visualization, and gentle self-care practices like journaling or EFT tapping. These moments often fill me with so much joy that I find myself dancing, feeling like the happiest girl in the world.
Then I move my body with stretching, yoga, or a gym session. On the treadmill, I continue to focus on gratitude, nurturing both my mind and body.
Next, I prepare a simple, nutritious breakfast and lunch, get ready, and head to work. While driving, I take in the beauty around me — the clouds, trees, leaves, and flowers — savoring each little moment.
These first 90 minutes set the tone for a mindful, joyful, and grateful day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
During the pandemic, I finally turned my passion into reality and started Incloosiv Foods. At Incloosiv Foods, we make super delicious, nutritious waffles — vegan and gluten-free, each packed with 5 grams of protein, and made without any added sugar, oil, or dairy. Interestingly, the vegan and gluten-free aspect happened by chance — I wasn’t even trying for it — but the best part is that you don’t miss the gluten, dairy, sugar, or oil at all.
The idea for these waffles came years ago when I was struggling to feed my three young children a healthy breakfast. They loved Eggo waffles and buttery bagels, but I knew that to stay healthy, fit, and focused in school, they needed a better start to their day. So, I created Incloosiv Foods waffles — the kind even my pickiest child happily ate, without syrup!
I then created lentil and veggie waffles that are versatile, easy to top with anything, and perfect for busy moms and dads juggling hectic lives. My daughter, now in med school, even takes a suitcase full of waffles with her because they keep her full and are so delicious, and my grandson loves them just as much! Every time I take a bite, my heart feels full, and I know I want to share these waffles with the world.
Today, people of all ages enjoy our waffles as part of their daily routine. Parents tell me they’re in trouble when they run out because their kids refuse cereal, while elderly customers say they finally have something healthy, delicious, and easy to make — and look forward to getting up just to enjoy their waffles. Hearing these stories fills my heart with joy, knowing that I’m making a real difference in people’s lives.
Our business has grown entirely through word of mouth, with our customers becoming our biggest advocates. At Incloosiv Foods, we’re not just making waffles — we’re making healthy, convenient, and joyful eating simple for everyone.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
One of my earliest memories of feeling truly powerful happened just last Sunday at one of my farmers markets. A customer walked up to me and said, “Oh my God, I’m so thankful you’re here. I came just for you. I was nervous you might not be here today — I needed these waffles so badly. Thank you for making them. I always leave so happy after talking to you.”
In that moment, I felt how a simple gesture of kindness and a genuine compliment can uplift someone’s life — and also uplift your own soul. It reminded me that even small interactions can carry incredible power.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
For much of my life, the fear that held me back was what people would say — whether my choices would be approved by my parents, family, or community. I grew up believing that marriage was for life, and that a woman’s role was to be a “good wife and mother,” often at the expense of her own dreams and happiness. For years, I put family needs above my own, even when my heart ached.
But over time, I realized that living this way didn’t truly serve anyone, including myself. Eventually, I found the courage to let go of a marriage that no longer served me or those around me. Taking that step was transformative — it allowed me to honor my own dreams and wellbeing while still caring deeply for my loved ones.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I admire Bobby Brown, not for her success or power, but for her character. I met her unexpectedly, not even realizing it was her at first. She came across as an ordinary, approachable person — easy to talk to and genuinely kind. When I later found out who she was, I was amazed that someone with so much success and influence could be so simple, supportive, and caring.
What inspired me most was that I reached out to her, and she actually replied. It made me realize that true success is not just about achievements — it’s about being a good human being, using your power to positively impact those around you. We need more role models like her, showing that kindness and care come first.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If immortality were real, what would you build?
If immortality were real, I would build a community where everyone is truly accepted, regardless of race, color, status, or religion. In this community, there would be one “religion” — love and acceptance for all. We would support and uplift one another, finding joy in each other’s happiness rather than feeling pride in status, religion, or background. People would be taught to help others rise, so that no one ever feels left out or lonely. We would gather together, share meals, celebrate life, and create a space where kindness, compassion, and connection are the foundation of everything.
