We’re looking forward to introducing you to Lemoyne Alexander. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Lemoyne, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
That people respect me for the integrity of my work and devotion to my craft
The joy that it brings to my fans friends and family

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Lemoyne Alexander’s journey through the music industry is nothing short of remarkable. After two decades as a prominent producer in the rap and hip-hop scene, he made the bold decision to step away from it all at the height of his career. “During the East Coast–West Coast rivalry with Tupac and Biggie, I was really blowing up as a rap producer,” he reflects. “While everyone chose sides, I was solely focused on the music, forming close friendships with individuals who were tragically caught in the crossfire.”

Choosing authenticity over fame, Alexander turned his back on the lucrative industry and revisited his roots, reigniting his passion for rock music—a genre that had always resonated with him. A pivotal moment occurred during a visit to a record store, where he recognized the stark contrasts between rock and rap. “I went home and picked up my guitar, and it hit me: this is where I want to be,” he shares, leading to the formation of the acclaimed alternative rock band St8 of Grace. Their releases garnered significant attention, including a popular remake of “Killer Queen.” over a million spotify streams.

After the band’s break up, Lemoyne took time for reflection before heeding his late father’s final words to pursue his own musical path. This led to the creation of his debut solo album, Solitude, in 2019, followed by Perfect World in 2023. Now, in 2025, he is set to unveil his latest album “ALONE” featuring the favorable single“Insecurity,” that has swept America by storm reaching #12 on the top 150 Radio charts and #1 on the independent rock charts, which captures the emotional turmoil he faced during a challenging period in his life. “I wrote the track during some really insecure times, when everything felt like it was falling apart,” he explains. With its blend of hard and pop rock and rich vocal harmonies, “Insecurity” marks yet another evolution in Alexander’s artistic journey. Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My father Oscar Smith saw me clearly before I could see myself, he believed in me when I didn’t, he made me face my own insecurities, and there were a lot
I never ever thought about being the lead singer of our band let alone the main Writer, I hid behind my band for so long that he forced me to be a soloist and trust my instincts and trust my vocals and trust my talent, it wasn’t until I released my debut album that I began to trust my own talent by standing alone

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I almost gave up multiple times. The struggles were unbearable to deal with, but I always kept my father‘s strength and words in my heart that kept me going, the fear of giving up. I couldn’t deal with so I pushed myself. Every time I felt broken, depressed and beaten, I find a new energy that keeps me going, keeps me fighting, no matter the challenge. I’m not myself if I don’t keep pushing myself.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would would agree what matters to me is
Respect, honor, and loyalty because it is a primary gesture of a human that sometimes we forget
I indulge in humanity. I respect people who respect people.
Love is forgotten, people don’t believe in love anymore. They show love and what they do and want But love is becoming underrated and that’s not right. love has always mattered to me and always will..
There’s no humanity without love.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I am surrounded by some of the most important people in my life. Because they’re real, they’re genuine-and they authentically care about me.
I could be myself and I feel safe,
And that brings peace in my heart
