We recently had the chance to connect with Abriana Terrell and have shared our conversation below.
Abriana , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Have you stood up for someone when it cost you something?
I stood for my happiness and my life purpose in exchange for my financial status, comfort zone, and reputation in my family’s opinion. When God calls you to do something, you answer. God doesn’t always give you the whole plan, but he teaches you to trust him during uncertain times. Stepping out of my comfort zone is how I grew into the confident leader I am today.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Abriana Terrell. I am Founder CEO of nonprofit organization, YOUTOPIAN ESTATES. The organization is known for housing and servicing individuals of the homeless community. We are currently planning to build the largest housing development in the metroplex, however, we are still raising funds to do so. Not only do we take time to assist our clients physically, we also help empower them mentally and spiritually to become better within themselves.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I believe God and my angels saw me clearly before I could see myself, God sent me with a plan and told me to trust him. I have learned to do that and now I am remembering who I really am and not who the world molded me into.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me resilience. “No pain, no gain.” I was also taught patience and to uplift myself when no one understood why I was even pursuing entrepreneurship. Being an entrepreneur brings you closer to yourself and to God because it forces you to lean more on yourself, especially if you are building from the ground up.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I am committed to uplifting the world in a positive manner. While my niche are those who may be less fortunate. I feel to believe that fortune is not only relational to materialistic assets, but golden and positive mindsets. I plan to shift the narrative by teaching individuals how to manifest a greater life by thinking greater.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
The blueprint of my soul’s purpose and my faith in God. Honestly, this is a great question because I did lay all of that down to rebuild a better me. What still remained was my passion to uplift others who have given up and my purpose to heal the world.
