Let’s jump in: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me consist of a few key things .. Gym, figuring out what to make for dinner and a crime series
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Allen Rose.
I am a songwriter and lead vocalist of Los Angeles based rock band “The Last Slice”.
I am also a record producer with over 100 plus credits across Tv & Film
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My mother … she has always been a guiding light for me . Not discrediting my father or anything at all, because I got a lot of my influence and inspiration from him but my mom just put that battery in my back because she knew I wasn’t meant to be regular
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I damn near want to give up everyday hahah
You just have to roll with the punches and keep at it . It doesn’t get easier , you just learn to get better and things become less stressful
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That hip hop is a dying genre .. I think that’s so lame . Hip hop is doing better than ever
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
I don’t do anything for praise. I show up everyday and get the job done no matter what. I do this because I love it too much to stop and it’s the only thing that keeps me sane . Praise doesn’t fuel me , passion does
