Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Amber Krystal

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Amber Krystal. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Amber, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Well, honestly it varies, I travel alot as well, so When I do travel my first 90minutes, alot is going on. When I’m not travel, I get up pray, shower, workout, then I check emails and make phone calls.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Thank you so much for having me! Hello, Miami, I love this place! My name is Amber Krystal, and I wear many hats as a ministry leader, actress, award-winning author, speaker, and beauty industry professional. I’m also the founder of Be Healed, Be Whole, Be Mature: A Place of Metamorphosis, a prophetic ministry that has gained global recognition for empowering individuals to walk in healing, wholeness, and maturity.

In addition to my ministry work, I’ve been blessed to work in the film industry for over five years as both a Makeup Artist earning two IMDb credits. I’m now stepping more boldly into acting, and I’m very excited to share that I was just cast in my first faith-based movie — a dream I have been praying about for a long time.

What makes my journey unique is that I’ve been able to merge both ministry and marketplace, using my creative gifts not only to inspire audiences through storytelling on screen but also to bring transformation through faith. Whether it’s through film, writing, or ministry, my passion is to uplift others, help them see the beauty of their own journey, and remind them that with God, all things are possible.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
For me, my earliest memory of feeling powerful wasn’t tied to an accomplishment or a success — though those things are wonderful. It was the moment I became truly free from everything that had me bound in a space and place I no longer belonged. There’s something powerful about stepping into the divine timing God has for your life, and realizing that real power isn’t about what you achieve outwardly, but about what you conquer inwardly.

Power comes from within when you confront the very things that once made you feel less than. For me, real power is freedom — freedom to be who God created me to be, without fear, without shame, and without chains holding me back.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me lessons that success never could. My personal story of betrayal and the painful process of healing became the very soil God used to transform me into the woman I am today. While success can be celebrated, it doesn’t always shape character the way suffering does.

Walking through brokenness and learning to rise again taught me that suffering produces substance — the kind of depth and resilience that can’t be bought or borrowed. It humbled me, and in that humility, I found strength, grace, and a deeper compassion for others. Success might shine a light on your achievements, but suffering refines your spirit and births a new level of humility that becomes the foundation for lasting impact.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
That is such a powerful question, and I was so ready for it. There’s an old saying, “what you see is what you get.” At one point in my life, that was true — but only based on where I was at that time. As I began to grow in healing, wholeness, and maturity, I realized that the version people see now is the 2.0 me — the version God always intended, even for me to see for myself.

When you go through your personal metamorphosis, you begin to walk in the real you at all times, wherever you are. No pretending, no masks. Not perfect, but definitely striving. So yes, this is the real me — there is no public version.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
What I understand deeply, that most people don’t, is why people do and choose the things they do. Unless you’ve studied psychology, most people rarely stop to ask why someone is the way they are. I’ve spent years studying psychology, and I’ve seen how strongly it connects with spirituality.

Many people use coping mechanisms to cover their pain instead of confronting it. They’ll even live in cognitive dissonance — holding onto a lie or a false reality — just to avoid the breakthrough that would come if they surrendered their pride and ego. What God has equipped me with spiritually is the ability to see beyond the surface, to understand these patterns deeply, and to help others move from avoidance to transformation.
