Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Ameena Zeeba of chicago

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Ameena Zeeba. Check out our conversation below.

Ameena, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Recently, I traveled to Turkey, and even though the trip wasn’t originally intended for nature exploration or photography, I brought my camera lens along just in case. To my delight, I was able to capture an incredible moment with wildlife. The guide we had was astounded by how I managed to seize such an extraordinary animal encounter. I felt a sense of pride knowing that I can inspire a love for nature in so many people I meet on my travels.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, my name is Ameena. I am the CEO and HR Director of a human resources company during the day. However, whenever I have the opportunity—whether it’s a day off, an evening, or even during holidays—I pursue my passion for wildlife photography and am dedicated to learning about wildlife conservation.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
It was a moment when I closely observed nature, sitting on the other side of my camera lens and capturing incredible wildlife moments.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Believe in yourself and fight for the direction you want in life.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely! I’m not one of those people who present a false version of themselves in public or private. While I do have some boundaries regarding how much of my personal life I share, I strive to be true to myself no matter where I am.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I strive to live as if every moment could be my last, which is why I choose to share my passions with others, especially my family. I want them to learn from my experiences, and I hope to make a positive impact in the world.
