We recently had the chance to connect with Brittany Rettig and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Brittany, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of our day looks pretty chaotic. We have three little kids — 4 years old, 1 year old, and a newborn. It’s a mad dash to do breakfast, get ready for the day, and get the oldest off to pre-k. We start our day with a prayer and lots of coffee!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Brittany Rettig, and my husband, Grant, and I co-own Rettig Co. Photo & Films. Grant started the business focusing on photography, and when he decided that he would like to add videography to the mix, he trained me on the photography front. We’ve been working as a team ever since, and it has been a huge blessing in our lives!
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
Our parents have always been hard workers. They taught us to show up and work hard in everything we do. I firmly believe that we see that product in how we show up for our business and clients as well.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Go get it! Always go get it! Whatever it is. you want or even think you want, give it a try.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would share that my relationship with Christ and my family and friends are the things that really matter to me. Without those relationships, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I am at home with my husband and children all under the roof. They are my happy place.
