We’re looking forward to introducing you to Christy LoPresto. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Christy, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My morning routine is very sacred to me. I always start the day with drinking water, taking morning vitamins and 15-20 mins of meditation. I follow that up with a protein coffee, journaling and setting my intentions for the day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Chef/Owner of Kinn Thai and Sweet Face both restaurants located in Chelsea New York. I am also creator/owner of Soakwell a Holistic wellness brand.
Kinn is a restaurant that offers fast casual Thai street food. While Sweet Face is a Vietnamese , Thai & New York Fusion concept.
Soakwell is a line of intention based holistic wellness products that were designed for self restoration. Using aromatherapy & transdermal therapy to restore and balance energy.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
The Moment I Stepped Into My Power
A decade ago, I discovered something life-changing: my intentions have the power to shape my reality. Once I understood that everything is energy, I began to use that energy to co-create the life I desired. Witnessing my thoughts transform into tangible results forever shifted the way I live.
That deep, knowing—that I can create anything I want by staying focused and intentional in how I move and show up every day—is true power.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain when I understood it was never here to break me, but to awaken me. The more I leaned into it, the more I uncovered my purpose. What once felt heavy became light the moment I turned it into strength.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What truths are so foundational in your life that you rarely articulate them?
One truth that is so foundational for me is that everything in life is happening for my highest good, even when I can’t see it in the moment. I rarely say it out loud because it lives so deeply within me—it’s the root of my peace. Staying grounded in my faith reminds me that I am guided, protected, and never walking alone. That truth shapes how I move through life, no matter what I face.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Have you ever gotten what you wanted, and found it did not satisfy you?
Yes, there was a time when I finally reached the point I thought I had been working toward—on paper, everything looked perfect. The boxes were checked, the material things were there, and by the world’s standards, I had “made it.” But inside, I felt empty. None of it filled the deeper void, because what my soul was craving couldn’t be bought or achieved through titles or possessions. I realized that true fulfillment comes from alignment, purpose, and being grounded in faith—not just from external success. In that moment, I learned the difference between having everything and truly being whole.
