Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Cindy Witteman

Cindy Witteman shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Cindy, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Beekeeping by far. There is something unbelievably grounding about tending to the hives, watching the bees work together in perfect harmony, and knowing I am helping support something so essential to our world. It is peaceful, purposeful, and one of the few things that instantly brings me back to center.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Cindy Witteman, an author, TV show host, entrepreneur, and the Founder and Editor in Chief of FORCE Magazine. I also created the Little Give TV Show and Podcast where I highlight people who are making a difference in their communities. Everything I do is centered around sharing meaningful stories and creating opportunities for others to shine.

My multimedia company, CF Views, has grown from a simple idea into a platform that now includes a best selling magazine, international television distribution, and a nonprofit called Driving Single Parents which provides vehicles to single parent families. What makes my work unique is that it is inspired by my own journey. I know what it feels like to start over and I have a heart for helping others do the same.

Today I am focused on expanding FORCE Magazine, growing the reach of the Little Give TV Show, and continuing to support single parents through my nonprofit. My goal is always to uplift, encourage, and remind people that their story has power.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child I believed I wasn’t good enough. I also thought I talked too much and thought too much, like the way my mind worked somehow made me “too much” for people. I no longer carry those beliefs. Today I see that my voice, my ideas, and my ability to think deeply are exactly what allow me to help others, share stories that matter, and create the platforms I have built. What I once saw as flaws are now the very things that make me strong.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
As a child I believed I wasn’t good enough. I also thought I talked too much and thought too much, like the way my mind worked somehow made me “too much” for people. I no longer carry those beliefs. Today I see that my voice, my ideas, and my ability to think deeply are exactly what allow me to help others, share stories that matter, and create the platforms I have built. What I once saw as flaws are now the very things that make me powerful.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I admire my dad for his character, not his power. He has always led with integrity, kindness, and consistency. He showed me what it means to do the right thing even when no one is watching and to treat people with respect regardless of their circumstances. His strength shaped who I am today, and I am grateful for the example he set.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I made their lives a little brighter. That I used my story, my platforms, and my voice to lift others up. I hope they say I helped people believe in themselves, that I created opportunities where there were none, and that I showed what is possible when you lead with heart. More than anything, I hope the story people tell about me is that I loved deeply, gave generously, and left the world better than I found it.
