Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Dejah (Kirti) Gomez (Preet) of Hyde Park

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Dejah (Kirti) Gomez (Preet). Check out our conversation below.

Dejah (Kirti), we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
When I rise, I start with stating my declaration for my life and business. I then go into meditation before reading and journaling.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Dejah Gomez. In the health and wellness space, I am known as Kirti Preet Kaur. I am the founder of Kirti Wellness Sanctuary and The Empress of Sound – two expressions of one mission: to heal, inspire, and elevate through the power of sound. I’m a globally touring vocalist, transformational wellness practitioner, and author of You Are a Walking Song, a book and movement dedicated to helping people remember their true voice, literally and spiritually.

My work weaves together music, psychology, and spirituality through modalities like Kundalini Yoga, mantra, sound healing, and somatic vocal work, creating immersive experiences that bridge performance and personal transformation. What makes my brand unique is that it lives at the intersection of art and awakening, offering both luxury wellness experiences for executives and accessible community programs for healing and empowerment.

I recently released my Aquarian Sadhana mantra album, and am preparing to launch my nine-month global mantra journey, and my signature program “Vocal Ascension” — each designed to help people embody the frequency of their most authentic sound.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful was singing in church. It was the first time I realized that my voice could move people, and that something flowing through me could open hearts, lift spirits, and create a feeling of unity in the room. I remember feeling the energy in the room shift, the way people’s eyes softened, tears fell, and spirits lifted. It wasn’t about being seen, it was about being used by something greater. In that moment, I realized my voice carried more than sound, it carried healing, emotion, and spirit. That’s when I knew music was my ministry. That moment taught me that power isn’t about control, it’s about connection.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
Some of the defining wounds of my life have been rooted in abandonment, separation, and the deep ache of the mother and father wound. For a long time, I carried the pain of judgement and the belief that I had to earn love by being perfect. My healing began when I turned inward, through Kundalini Yoga, Reiki, mantra, and psychology, I began to reparent my inner child, reconnect with my spirit, and release the stories that kept me limited. The very practices that healed me are now what I teach. My work is my medicine, and sharing it with others allows that healing to ripple outward.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m deeply committed to building my global sanctuary of sound and spirit, a legacy where music, healing, and divinity intertwine. This isn’t just a project; it’s a lifelong devotion. My vision is to create an empire that uplifts humanity through the transformative power of voice, vibration, and consciousness. I see a world where people rediscover their own divinity through sound, where transformation happens not by force but by resonance. Whether through performance, teaching, or writing, I’m devoted to using my gifts to support healing, transformation, and personal empowerment across the world, no matter how long it takes.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
If I released every title and possession, what would remain is pure resonance, the song of my soul, the light of my spirit, and the frequency of love I carry. Long after form fades, my sound will still echo. My essence, my soul, my spirit, my sound, my vibration, and my light are the parts of me that no one can take away, because they are not things I do, they are what I am.
