We’re looking forward to introducing you to Dominic Jeudy. Check out our conversation below.
Dominic, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
The first thing I do every morning is pray and thank God for waking me up and for the blessings in my life. Gratitude sets the tone for my day. After that, I dive into my emails, calls, and lead platform to review what opportunities came in overnight. Some mornings start with meetings, and if so, I jump right into those.
Once that’s done, I make my smoothie with sea moss, sip on a mushroom matcha, and head to the gym. After my workout, I focus on creating content while handling calls and responding to new emails. Later, I grab a meal and continue multitasking between follow-up calls and fresh outreach to keep business moving.
Because I’m based in New York City, I’m often working until midnight to accommodate my California leads, who are available until 9 p.m. PST (12 a.m. EST). By then, I wrap up the day, unwind, and prepare to do it all again tomorrow. That’s a typical day in my world.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a proud Haitian-American man with the heart of a hustler. Since childhood, I’ve always found ways to work hard and carve my own path. From shoveling snow around the neighborhood to selling candy on New York City subway trains, canvassing for nonprofits, and eventually selling software, I was constantly building my drive and sharpening my skills. Sales and marketing always came naturally to me, it was exciting, never boring, and my personable nature made me thrive at it.
Those years of hustle taught me resilience and discipline, but they also showed me the value of building something for myself. When I was laid off from my role at a software company, I knew I couldn’t go back to working for someone else. I flew out to California to clear my head and think about my next move. There, with my close friends turned future business partners, we began brainstorming ideas. Within one day, we decided to take a leap of faith, We purchased a photo booth, bought a website, and created a logo. Just like that, our new business was born.
But then the pandemic hit. California went into lockdown before our booth even arrived. I returned home to Washington, D.C., and the three of us waited anxiously, wondering if our idea would ever take off. When the booth finally came in March 2020, we were eager to launch but, the world had shut down. For months, bookings didn’t come. By that summer, we were discouraged and even thought about selling the booth.
Fast forward to March 2021: restrictions finally lifted, and we landed our first event which was a birthday party in downtown Los Angeles filled with good vibes, games, and rose gold décor. That event sparked everything. From there, we hit the ground running, booking events for Fortune 500 companies, celebrities, charities, and corporate gatherings.
What started as a hustle born from uncertainty has grown into a thriving business proof that perseverance, faith, and the will to keep moving forward can turn an idea into a success story.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
One of the greatest influences in my life has been the relationship with my parents. Seeing them happily married for 48 years and constantly sharing wisdom has shaped me into the man I am today. My father’s presence and example have been especially important by teaching me how to work hard, lead with integrity, and to always take care of family. My mother, on the other hand, showed me the power of empathy and the importance of keeping God first in everything I do. Together, they’ve always given me the best advice and pushed me to reach higher. Even now, they never hesitate to remind me how proud they are of me and how much bigger they believe I’m destined to become.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Of course! I think every entrepreneur has that moment where they want to give up. But like all successful entrepreneurs, I’ve learned it’s all about mindset. You have to shift your mindset and understand that challenges are part of the process. Every setback, every obstacle, is a step that shapes you for the bigger picture!
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely! Everyone who knows me will tell you I’m a genuine, humble, energetic, and personable person. I connect easily with people through my extroverted personality and by showing real compassion for others. That same energy is what we bring to our clients. We don’t just show up to collect a check, we show up to create an unforgettable experience they’ll cherish forever. I run my business with that mentality, and it’s why we’ve been able to maintain five star reviews across Google and other platforms as well!
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
Family, friends, and your significant other are more important than anything, even money. They’re the core people who keep you grounded, help you see things more clearly, and put life into perspective. When you’re sad, frustrated, or low on energy, they’re the ones who lift your spirit back up. No matter how successful I become, I never want to lose sight of that!
