Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Dr. Marianna Blyumin-Karasik of Davie Florida

We recently had the chance to connect with Dr. Marianna Blyumin-Karasik and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Dr. Marianna, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
For me, it’s the mindful ritual of watching hummingbirds feed in my garden. Their tiny wings beat with such intensity, yet they move with grace and purpose. In those moments, time slows—I lose myself in the quiet awe of nature’s rhythm. Then, as they hover and dart away, I feel myself rediscovering balance, resilience, and inspiration. It’s a reminder that even in constant motion, we can find stillness and natural beauty—a lesson I carry into both my life and my work.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Dr. Marianna Blyumin-Karasik, a holistic board-certified dermatologist, founder of Precision Skin & Body Institute, and the creator and CEO of Stamina Cosmetics. My passion has always been to care for skin not just on the surface, but as a reflection of our overall wellness and resilience.

Stamina Cosmetics was born from that vision—it’s a next-generation, dermatologist-created skincare brand that combines clinical science with adaptogens (stress-fighting botanicals) and daily affirmations. We call it functional skincare for skin and mind stamina.

What makes Stamina unique is this mind-skin connection: every product is designed not only to strengthen skin against modern stressors, but also to empower people psychologically through mindful rituals. I see it as skincare that supports both beauty and resilience, inside and out.

Right now, I’m focused on expanding Stamina into dermatology offices, wellness practices, fitness centers, our online store and lifestyle spaces where people are already seeking holistic health. It’s exciting to be building something that helps people feel stronger, more radiant, and more centered in their daily lives.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I believed I always had to be perfect to be loved and successful. Over time, through personal growth, motherhood, and my career in dermatology and entrepreneurship, I realized that perfection is neither possible nor necessary. What truly matters is resilience, authenticity, and showing up with heart. That shift—from chasing flawlessness to embracing progress, integrity and purpose—has been one of the most liberating lessons of my life and is also at the core of what I try to inspire in others through my work and Stamina Cosmetics.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me humility, empathy, and the strength that comes from vulnerability. Success often celebrates the outcomes, but suffering reveals the inner grit it takes to keep going. It showed me that growth doesn’t come from everything going right, but from navigating the moments that take you to the edge, break you open and force you to rebuild stronger and more compassionate self. That perspective has shaped how I care for patients, raise my children, and create Stamina Cosmetics—where resilience, not perfection, is the true measure of beauty, stamina, grace and wellness.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies in the beauty industry is the obsession with “anti-aging.” It creates fear around growing older and suggests we should erase every sign of life we’ve lived. The truth is, aging is natural and inevitable. What matters more is supporting our skinspan—the years our skin stays strong, radiant, and resilient—just like we think about lifespan and healthspan for our overall wellness.

Instead of chasing youth, we should be investing in practices and products that enhance skin stamina, protect against stressors, and promote wellness and confidence at every age. That’s the well-aging paradigm shift I believe in, and it’s the philosophy behind Stamina Cosmetics and Precise Aesthetic Balance in Precision Skin & Body Institute as well as light I shed through skin wellness education.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people will say that I inspired them to live with resilience, grace, and purpose. That I cared deeply—not only for skin, but for the whole person—and used my work to remind others that beauty and wellness are inseparable. Most of all, I hope my legacy is that I uplifted others: as a dermatologist, as the founder of Stamina Cosmetics, as a mother, and as a woman who believed in the power of small daily mindful skincare rituals to create lasting impact, inspire us toward more wellness and stamina.
