We’re looking forward to introducing you to Gemma Rose. Check out our conversation below.
Gemma, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
As a healer who happened to stumble into making jewelry for a living, I’ve always felt more comfortable hiding behind “jewelry designer” as my go-to cocktail party answer when people ask what I do. It’s been a long, slow build-up, but this recent eclipse season has been the catalyst for deeper clarity—it’s time for my business to evolve into its truest expression.
In the future, beginning most likely in January 2026, my main offerings will center around various types of healing experiences, with customized healing jewelry pieces serving as touchstone companions to anchor the work.
I like to say—only half-jokingly—that I’m finally coming out of the healer’s closet!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a healer, jewelry artist, and channel devoted to creating sacred adornments and experiences that support your soul’s evolution and help you remember who you truly are.
For over 25 years, I’ve been weaving together rare gemstones, spiritual guidance, and intuitive artistry to create what I call healing fine jewelry, one-of-a-kind pieces infused with intention, love, and energy to help you feel more aligned, grounded, and connected to your soul’s path.
What began as a simple creative outlet, making jewelry that I sold off my neck at yoga festivals, has evolved into a global brand rooted in heart-centered connection and spiritual transformation. Every piece is designed not just to adorn, but to anchor — serving as a touchstone of remembrance for who you truly are and the light you’re here to embody.
Now, as my work continues to deepen, I’m stepping fully into the next evolution of my path: offering healing experiences — from spiritual coaching and gemstone whispering sessions to intuitive jewelry consultations, with each piece becoming a sacred companion to the journey.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
I would say the relationship that most shaped how I see myself is the one with my guru, Shankaracharya. We met completely by accident. At the time, my boyfriend’s greatest wish was to meet a guru, so I arranged a surprise birthday gift for him — a visit to Shankaracharya’s ashram in Ojai.
What I didn’t expect was how deeply I would connect with him as well. I went on to study under him for years, and his guidance transformed how I relate to myself. He taught me the importance of not only spiritual development but personal development, too.
I used to be really hard on myself, and he would often remind me to “make best friends with the mind.” Over time, that teaching helped me soften, and my self-confidence grew, as he loved to say, true confidence is confidence is acknowledging that you have a Self!
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
I would say the defining wound of my life has been, first and foremost, the mother wound. I believe it began in the womb — I was an accident, and I sensed that imprint of not being wanted even before birth. Although I know my mom loved me, I often felt like I was in the way. She and my older sister shared a sacred bond, and I grew up feeling like the outsider looking in.
That early imprint shaped many of my relationships with women, especially within friendship groups, which was often very painful. Over time, I’ve learned that when we keep encountering the same trigger again and again, it’s usually because the situation is touching an unhealed part of us, a wound still asking for love.
I’ve become a huge proponent of inner child healing and shadow work as ways to offer the love and validation I so deeply needed as a child. This practice has helped me cultivate true confidence and self-compassion. It’s also why I’m so passionate about offering healing work — because I know firsthand how transformative it is when we learn to show up for ourselves in this way.
And the healing journey is never really “done.” If someone tells you they’re completely healed — run! Ha! But it does get gentler over time, and it’s always worth the courage it takes to feel the pain: because when we do, it transforms our outer world in the most beautiful ways.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
I think my closest friends would say that what really matters to me is spiritual and personal development — living a life that feels true, aligned, and deeply connected.
I believe that when we take the time to nurture our relationship with God (or whatever name you give your higher power), we pave the way for authentic success; a life in harmony with your soul’s highest purpose.
To me, this is something our society deeply overlooks. We’re taught to become what our parents or culture expect of us, rather than given the tools to turn inward, know ourselves, and build a real relationship with our own soul and Source. That, to me, is the real gold.
My friends would probably laugh and say I can be a bit relentless about this — ha! — because I’m so convinced it’s the true path to the happiness and fulfillment we’re all seeking.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
This is such a great question and one that I think about often. Honestly? I would delete my social media accounts. Enough said- ha!
