We recently had the chance to connect with Hedras Ramos Sr. and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Hedras, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
First, I thank God for a new day and ask for His grace and blessings. I then go to my computer and start replying to and acting on all emails, focusing especially on those that are urgent and related to my work as a Producer and VO Talent.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, and thank you for having me. My name is Hedras Ramos Sr., and for over 30 years, my life’s work has been the fascinating bridge between sound and story.
I am a producer, a sound engineer, and a bilingual voiceover artist, but the core of what I do goes beyond simply lending my voice to a project. What makes my brand, Audio 7 Productions, special is its mission to connect the right voice with the right message, no matter where in the world that voice may be.
Over three decades, I’ve had the immense privilege of building a solid international network of exceptional voice talent—from children to seasoned professionals—for any project that requires native English or Spanish. My role is to not only provide a voice myself, but also to act as a trusted agent and partner, simplifying the process for other agents and companies.
The work is a hopeful endeavor rooted in collaboration. I believe that every project has a unique story to tell, and it’s my joy to help that story find its perfect voice. We’ve delivered over 2,500 projects that range from music production and sound design to translation and graphic/web design. I’m always working to expand this network and find new ways to help voices and ideas find their audience with clarity and grace.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
That’s a beautiful question, and for me, it’s not a single moment but a collection of moments that has led to a single, powerful conviction: we are all a product of our thoughts.
I have always believed that the world isn’t just a place, but a reflection of the people who live in it. In my work, I am surrounded by voices, and I have learned that not all of them carry the same weight or substance. There is so much noise out there, and the ability to discern what is real and true has become more critical than ever before.
For me, this realization is best filtered through the timeless truth that “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” This simple phrase has become the lens through which I see everything. It reminds me that a person’s inner world, their beliefs, and their convictions are always revealed by their actions.
This perspective gives me hope and grace, both for myself and for others. It teaches me to choose carefully what voices I listen to and to always look for substance behind the sound. It also reminds me that every project I work on—every voice I record—is an opportunity to contribute something positive to the world, to share a message that is both thoughtful and authentic.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, it would be this:
Slow down. The most precious and enduring legacy you will ever build is not in your career achievements, but in the heart of your family. It is easy to get lost in the demands of the world, but from an eternal perspective, nothing is more important than your relationship with the Creator. From an earthly point of view, nothing is more important than your relationship with your family.
You are building your family’s future with every moment you invest in them, whether through your presence, your stories, or your unconditional love. Cherish those moments, for they are fleeting. The memories you create are the anchors that will hold your family together and will be the true measure of your life’s success.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
That’s also a beautiful question, and the belief that I am committed to, no matter how long it takes, is to hear the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant, welcome, get in, enjoy” from Jesus Christ Himself.
In a world filled with the endless pursuit of followers and likes on a screen, this is the ultimate “like” and “thumbs up” that truly matters. I’ve always seen our time here on Earth as fleeting, a mere glimpse of a grain of sand of all the beaches on this planet compared to the vastness of eternity. This perspective has become the most important filter through which I view every project and every relationship.
It reminds me that my work—my brand—is a gift and a stewardship. It’s not about building a legacy for myself, but about being a vessel for something far greater. This commitment is the most important project I will ever undertake, and it’s one I pray I will not miss. It is a pursuit of a timeless purpose that gives every single day grace, meaning, and hope.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If immortality were real, what would you build?
What a great and profound question!
I believe we are already immortal; we are eternal beings. The question for all of us is not whether we are immortal, but what we will build with that eternal nature.
I believe our convictions are the products of what we hear, and from what we hear, faith is born. This is why I ask myself and others, “Why do you believe what you believe?” We all have faith in something, even those who believe there is no God—that belief is an act of faith in itself. Just let’s keep in mind that as the Psalm reminds us, only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.”
So, what would I build with immortality? I would build something that transcends time. I would build what I call “eternal points.” Just like the points or cashback we collect with our credit cards, but these eternal points are collected in the afterlife and have rewards that come from God himself. They are not fleeting or corruptible; they are promises such as the “crown of life,” the “crown of righteousness,” and the “crown of glory.”
The ultimate project for me is to build a life that earns these eternal points, a life lived with the hope of a reward that will never fade. It is a mission of true significance that puts everything else into perspective.
