Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Jessi Sheridan

Jessi Sheridan shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Jessi, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are slow and intentional. I spend time with my husband, Connor, and my daughter, Elle, before she leaves for school, usually with a cup of coffee in hand. Once she’s off, I try to ease into my own morning with meditation or a walk, breakfast, and a few quiet minutes to mentally prepare for the day. Sometimes I’ll read for a bit if I have space.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Jessi Sheridan, founder of Habituelle. Habituelle is a community and private coaching practice for ambitious, heart-led women. My work sits at the intersection of leadership, purpose, and real life. I help women get unstuck, reconnect to their confidence, and design lives, businesses, and careers that feel aligned, energizing, and sustainable. Right now, I’m focused on building out our membership community, intimate events, and leadership experiences that bring women together in meaningful, modern ways.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
The moment that changed everything for me was the birth of my daughter. Becoming her mom reshaped my entire perspective on leadership, on purpose, and on what it means to build a life with intention. Suddenly, the way I moved through the world felt bigger than just me. I became more aware of the example I was setting, the values I was living, and the kind of future I wanted her to inherit. It also awakened this deep desire to get as much out of life as I can and to spend my time doing things that actually matter and have an impact. It made me more grounded and more driven, but also softer and more empathetic. In many ways, she’s the reason I show up with so much clarity and conviction in my work with women today.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self, “You are enough.” Not because you’ve accomplished anything or proven anything, but simply because you exist. I’d remind her that she doesn’t need to hustle for her worth, overperform to feel valuable, or shrink to make others comfortable. She is allowed to take up space, trust her voice, and move through the world with confidence and softness at the same time. Everything she’s searching for is already within her. She just needs to believe it.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
One important truth that very few people seem to agree with me on is that you can find balance, but only if you define it for yourself. I don’t believe balance is this perfect 50/50 split or a life where everything gets equal attention. To me, balance is a personal definition. It’s deciding what matters most in this season of your life and giving yourself permission to align your time, energy, and expectations accordingly. When you get clear on your version of balance—not the one the world tells you is “right,” it becomes not only possible, but sustainable.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I lived and loved fully, that I showed up with my whole heart and gave generously. I hope they remember me as someone who cared deeply for others, who made people feel seen and supported, and who always led with intention. And most of all, I hope they say I helped pave the way for women. That I used my voice, my work, and my life to create more possibility, more confidence, and more connection for the women who came after me.
