We recently had the chance to connect with Kayla Caldwell and have shared our conversation below.
Kayla , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
Bookkeeping is often over looked for how valuable it can be.
While some bookkeepers, just plug in numbers. We know that the numbers tell a story. Where the company has been and where it is going. Where can it go.
Not to mention this is just the start of what we do at KC Virtual Bookkeeping with our clients.
We help create safety and happiness with our clients in their businesses so they can grow with confidence and have a plan for their money and their business to create success on their terms.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Kayla Caldwell. Owner and founder at KC Virtual Bookkeeping. I am a Profit First Strategist and we utilize your business numbers to help you create PEACE in your business. What I mean by PEACE is Profit, Energy, Alignment, Capacity. and Ease and utilizing those together to create a strategy to build a business that loves you back, put your family first and build for your own definition of success. We aren’t just number pushers in your business, we are your partner in your business.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
Scarcity & Hustle. It started my business but it no longer is part of the motivation to build. I no longer build out of alignment. Hustle is only allowed when we have a north star and we know what we are building for. The goal is now always impact. How are we helping our clients. How are we building and creating better futures. Are our clients ready to make tough decisions and really build in alignment.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering is what drives my want for more impact now. I hate watching other entrepreneurs struggle and suffer, as I have in the past and I want people to have the knowledge and the habits to help them into success.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I want more women and parents to know they can put their family first while building for themselves. They can juggle it all and be successful. There is no limit, except for the ones you put on yourself.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
When days feel rough, I remember that I am building for myself and my family. I set my schedule and that makes it all worth it. No matter how many times I look at the job boards, I know I am only a good employee for myself and my clients because I know I will have more impact there.
