We’re looking forward to introducing you to Keisha Wilson. Check out our conversation below.
Keisha, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
I’m being called to step boldly into my purpose as an author to speak openly about healing, to share my story without shrinking, and to promote the book God placed on my heart. For a long time, I let fear convince me that my voice wasn’t enough, that my story didn’t matter, or that I wasn’t “ready.”
But writing A Journey to a Healing Heart taught me something powerful: obedience is stronger than fear. Every page I wrote pushed me past the old version of myself the one who doubted, hesitated, and hid her gifts. Now I feel called to walk confidently in what God has entrusted me with, to use my book as a tool to reach others who are healing just like I was.
I’m no longer running from who I’m becoming.
I’m embracing her fearless, healed, and aligned with purpose.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Keisha Wilson, and I am the author of A Journey to a Healing Heart, a devotional created to guide men and women through scripture-led healing after heartbreak. My work centers on helping people confront the emotional wounds that leave them feeling unseen, overlooked, or “not enough,” and I use my writing to remind others that healing is not only possible, it’s promised.
My brand is built on transparency, faith, and the courage to grow. What makes it unique is that everything I create from my book to my upcoming 30-day devotional for women and men is birthed from my own journey of restoration. I don’t just write about healing; I live it, and I share it in a way that’s honest, relatable, and spiritually grounded.
Right now, I’m expanding my healing series, designing tools like journals, devotionals, and digital resources to help women and men reclaim their worth and move forward with grace. My mission is simple: to empower others to step into the healed, whole version of themselves that God always intended.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I believed that my voice didn’t matter. I grew up thinking I had to stay quiet, shrink myself, and keep my feelings tucked away. I didn’t know how to speak up or trust that what I had to say carried any weight.
But that belief doesn’t define me anymore.
Writing A Journey to a Healing Heart changed everything. It gave me a voice I didn’t know I was allowed to have. It showed me that my experiences, my healing, and my words have purpose. Now I stand in a place of confidence and clarity, knowing that God didn’t give me a story to stay silent, He gave it to me so others could heal too.
I no longer believe I am voiceless.
I know now that I am called, empowered, and purposeful. My voice matters and I’m finally using it.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain the moment I decided to write A Journey to a Healing Heart. For years, I carried my hurt quietly, thinking it made me weak or unworthy. But as I began putting my story on paper, something shifted, I realized my pain wasn’t meant to be buried. It was meant to be transformed.
Writing my book became the turning point. It allowed me to turn heartbreak into healing, silence into strength, and fear into purpose. That’s when my pain became power, when I chose to share it, not hide it, and let God use it to help others heal too.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I am committed to the lifelong mission of helping people heal especially those who feel unseen, unheard, or “not enough.” That belief fuels every project I create. Whether it’s A Journey to a Healing Heart, my 30-day devotionals, or the journals and resources I’m building, I’m dedicated to guiding others toward emotional and spiritual restoration.
No matter how long it takes, I’m committed to using my voice, my story, and my faith to remind people that healing is possible and that their pain has purpose. This isn’t just a project it’s my calling.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes. I’ve learned that true purpose isn’t fueled by applause it’s fueled by obedience, healing, and the desire to make an impact. When I wrote A Journey to a Healing Heart, I didn’t know who would read it or how it would be received. But I gave it my best anyway, because it was something God placed on my heart.
I’ve reached a place where I no longer create for validation. I create because I’m called to. I give my best because my work is bigger than me it’s about helping others find their voice, their healing, and their hope. Praise is nice, but purpose is enough.
