We’re looking forward to introducing you to Keldamuzik Diva. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Keldamuzik, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Have you ever been glad you didn’t act fast?
Absolutely. There’ve been moments where I’m so glad I didn’t move too fast. In this game, everything feels urgent — opportunities flying in, people pressing you for quick decisions — but not everything that glitters is gold.
I remember getting approached with a deal that looked major. Big promises, big exposure. But something told me to pause. I sat with it, asked a few more questions, and the truth started to unravel. It would’ve locked me into something that didn’t truly represent me or my brand.
Waiting gave me clarity. And that clarity protected my vision, my catalog, and my freedom. Sometimes not acting fast is the smartest move you can make.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hey y’all, I’m Keldamuzik — a music artist, actress, producer, and entrepreneur reppin’ the Bay Area. I’ve had the pleasure of touring internationally, landing music placements on shows like *Love Island UK* and *Real Housewives of Atlanta*, and hosting my own talk show *Diva Talk Tonite*, now streaming on Tubi.
I also run a fashion brand called **Tamz**, featuring stylish berets with a purpose — a portion of proceeds goes to HairToStay to support cancer patients in need of scalp cooling treatments.
What makes my journey unique is that I wear many hats — literally and figuratively — and I use every platform I’m on to inspire, uplift, and open doors for others in entertainment. Right now, I’m focused on expanding my media empire, licensing my music catalog, and creating spaces where independent voices can shine. Stay tuned — I’m just getting started.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
God.
Before I even knew who I was or what I was capable of, God had already placed the vision, the purpose, and the strength inside me. There were times I questioned myself, doubted my path, or felt unseen — but even in those quiet moments, I felt covered.
God saw the artist, the entrepreneur, the woman I was becoming long before I did. And every door that opened, every lesson I learned, every “no” that redirected me — that was divine alignment. I walk by faith, not by sight, and I know that the version of me today is only possible because God saw me clearly when I couldn’t.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes — more than once.
There were moments when the grind felt too heavy, the doors weren’t opening fast enough, and the pressure of constantly creating, promoting, and pushing forward got overwhelming. I’ve had setbacks, people switch up, deals fall through, and times where I seriously asked myself, *“Is this even worth it?”*
But every time I got close to giving up, something reminded me of why I started — whether it was a fan reaching out, a new placement, a moment of clarity, or just feeling God say, *“Keep going, I’m not done with you yet.”*
This path isn’t easy, but it’s mine. And every time I thought about quitting, I realized the only thing standing between me and my next breakthrough was one more step. So I took it.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That *you have to sell out to succeed.*
That’s one of the biggest lies the industry tells — that you need to compromise your values, your image, or your ownership just to “make it.” They push the narrative that if you’re not backed by a major label, connected to a machine, or playing a certain role, you won’t go far. But that’s not true.
Another lie? That *numbers equal talent.* We live in a clout-driven world where streams, followers, and viral moments are treated like the only currency that matters — but none of that guarantees longevity or real impact.
The truth is, authenticity still wins. Ownership still matters. And building a career rooted in purpose, creativity, and integrity might take longer, but it’s worth way more in the long run.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
I’d regret not telling my full story — raw, unfiltered, and in my own words.
So much of what I’ve experienced, overcome, and created has purpose beyond entertainment. If I don’t share it — in a book, a docuseries, a platform that lives beyond me — then I feel like I’ve missed the chance to truly leave something behind that could inspire someone else to rise.
I’d also regret not fully pouring into the next generation — especially young women of color coming up in music, film, and entrepreneurship. If I’ve paved the way, then it’s my responsibility to leave the blueprint.
At the end of the day, I don’t want to just be remembered for the songs I dropped or the shows I created — I want to be remembered for what I *gave.*
