We’re looking forward to introducing you to Kelli Christina . Check out our conversation below.
Kelli , it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: Have you stood up for someone when it cost you something?
I am a known individual that has lost everything in life and business while defending people against crimes, broken laws and corruption a couple times in a lifetime. Taking a stand in this country can come with calculated loss and damages over the outcome and it’s often hard to predict an outcome. I have a lot of nicknames including warrior, bull fighter, pistol whip, super woman and the great survivor. Current day, I am in the rebuilding process with my own businesses and it’s over taking a legal action against a Hollywood actor Brad Pitt in 2020. My storyline was buried due to the FACT that I am the smaller party and my CEO name and reputation was ruined with lies and cover up stories. Current day then I pose the same questions: “Why not shutdown all the fraud fan collections out abusing fans and stealing their money? Can we not collect money the honest approach in this country while hurting nobody?”
My best selling book “Riding The Executive Roller Coaster-Medical Staffing Cases” has pulled into Morgan James Publishing in New York for a new relaunch this fall. This storyline echoes across so many sectors beyond healthcare. It’s a warning and a guidebook for anyone in leadership, especially in fast-paced industries like tech, law, finance, or government. People can be destroyed by wrongful HR practices and burned-out work cultures. According the one book review then “This book is an example is a rare combination of warrior spirit and compassionate insight—something the world needs more of.”
At the end of the day, if I come out swinging legally and taking a tough stand with any industry or parties? There is always a greater cause and purpose for the fight called “Making a positive difference for our future.” My entire brand is built around honesty, integrity and “doing the right things including obeying the laws. Unfortunately, making great changes in this country often require legal matters and court houses.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
As a woman in today’s world, Kelli Dennehey Christina attributes her success to her hard work, education, and determination. With 24 years of specialized medical recruiting and staffing experience and 10 years in restaurant and business management, she is currently the CEO, owner, and director of recruiting for KD-Staffing. Ms. Christina created KD-Staffing on the idea that “recruiting is an art.” She has perfected her skills in this “art” through several managerial and leadership positions since the start of her career; she became a restaurant manager and a boss at nineteen years old. Before she started a career in recruiting, Ms. Christina obtained a bachelor’s degree in business, hotel, and restaurant management from the University of North Texas. With thirty plus years of career experience, her advice to younger generations of women entering the workforce is to remember the importance of education. She also advises them to be strong-willed and to never give up.
Kelli Christina is a best-selling author, public speaker, CEO, and coach current day. Ms. Christina has worked part-time on government projects for ten years. She loves “making a difference” in today’s world. Ms. Christina founded a second business in 2018 called “KDC-Making a Difference, LLC” which is focused on books and public speaking current day.
Ms. Christina’s success factor and branding revolve around being a top success, achieving sales awards and making money while doing things the right approach in business. What is the right approach? Obeying laws, the right systems & processes, and honest approach with people, how do you treat people in life? She has 30 years of career success including trouble shooting, problem solving, budgeting, operational management, sales awards.
Ms. Christina is known for her second bestselling book “Riding the Executive Roller Coaster-Medical Staffing Cases.” It’s a rags-to-riches-to-rock-bottom journey, and it makes for an inspirational and relatable narrative. The original manuscript is a 225-page litigation book delivered to the White House in early 2018; years ago, the book had a nickname called the “Trump Book.” Channel 11 Texas news followed the author around for three years on this juicy story. It is a true-life story written with fictional characters based on real court records, public records and office drama that goes down badly in the corporate and business world. The book has different personalities, and it is motivational for everyone in life that falls and is forced to get back up and rebuild. This book is currently in the process for a new launch out of Morgan James Publishing this fall.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I am at that age where life experiences and wisdom take over. I bring a lot to the table with my own personal and career goals. My own desired goals and results are rated astronomically high in nature and right over the top. I have carried multiple leadership titles through my career of 30 plus years.
I often ask myself “where did my intense ambition and success stem from?” For me personally, my goals started around age 12 years old. I was born in Sioux City, Iowa and my parents would send us to Catholic School in elementary. The Catholic schools ran a lot of footage on the history of John F Kennedy and then his assassination. In my youth then I decided that I would be the first female American President, and I would be just like John F Kennedy when I grew up. This American president will always have the love and respect of the Catholic religion and he just happens to be my personal favorite always. This would start a very long life and career where I felt it necessary to always be the boss and always get promoted. I always pushed results through the ceiling. I would always fight to survive and thrive despite life and business challenges.
All these years later, I now have spent over a decade working part time with government officials, offices and administrations over various topics, industries, policies, laws and changes needed in this country. I now have the experience and knowledge needed to be affective in government work. I have been the quiet force behind a curtain that the general public would never see publicly until 2020. I was forced to come out for the media upon a book lunch 2021. The American media ruined my CEO name with media lies regarding a celebrity lawsuit in Texas 2020 and I experienced a very negative “larger picture scenario” towards getting cooperation and fixing problems. No cooperation in this country equals no problems being fixed. I have gracefully stepped away from government work and it’s not my time. My work had been classified as extremely effective for many years and I can always make a difference without even running for an election.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Life experiences teach us survival and resilience through good and bad times. I have had to personally fight depressed feelings, trauma and negative thoughts surrounding “giving up” multiple times throughout a lifetime. I have had times in life where I am so down and out that it’s hard to find the desire to move forward into better times. I am labeled as a great survivor. My life is labeled a best-selling storyline, book and movie topic regarding difficult challenges and trauma to surpass. My comments towards this topic remain the same: “People have to actually survive tough times to tell the story.”
About 19 years ago, I would walk into a life and spiritual program called Alanon after a messy divorce. I was completely convinced that my life story had to be the worst out there and there would be no moving on with the future. At these meetings, I was forced to sit down and listen to other people. It took years for me to develop better listening skills and my life slowly became more about other people and less about myself. Current day, I dedicate a lot of my time to other people and I was forced to become less selfish in my thinking. I developed healthier standards, boundaries and practices for daily living.
This program would change my thinking and the way I managed life into current day. I would learn a new way to walk in life and I pass this information along to thousands of people over the many years. The Alanon program branches off the AA program and it’s for family members effected by alcoholism and other dependencies. Through this program, you will not be given a perfect life but you will be given the tools to manage life bigger and better through good and bad times. Of course, I consider God my best friend and business partner and I am grateful for the life he gave me and my family. Faith surpasses problems and it builds courage along one’s path.
I encourage other people often to never give up. It’s only going to be dark for so long before the light shimmers. Face the dark and troubled waters and move on for the future. Keep moving forward even if it’s one day or one week at a time.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
My current day public image is a mixed image of good and bad. I am a brand and business professional that purposely delayed the media for many years over my own privacy issues. I tend to fly solo and pick paths on my own and I am just a little different then the average group of people. I am a big believer that you make your own success in life and business all by yourself and it stems from your choices and actions. I have had both media friends and connections throughout the years and media enemies based on the lies and cover up stories that surfaced during litigation against Brad Pitt and Make It Right Foundation in 2020.
In the last five years, I have challenged multiple media sources regarding copy/pasted cover up stories and Brad Pitt’s distorted version towards the legal fight in Texas. The media hit my name with slander and defamation and over 300 articles flew worldwide with inaccurate reporting. They skipped my storyline all together. My CEO name had headlines like “World’s Most Gullible Female” and “Guiness World Record of Stupid Females” and the name calling rolls on and on. I had to hire a slander and defamation company in 2022 that demanded over 3oo actions to shutdown the lies and disrespect on the internet. The media pitched a story that encouraged the public to threaten me, make fun, laugh, threaten me more, insult me, and there have been multiple attempts to steal from me or hurt me since the bad media blast. The media encouraged people to make fun of the Brad Pitt victims and write it off as funny. Meanwhile, I spent two years counseling these victims and turning a victim report into the authorities. Celebrity Brad Pitt did nothing as usual. My businesses suffered collateral damages and I certainly haven’t had a love life for a very long time.
On a positive note, all featured articles starting in 2021 until current day are real and authentic articles that advertise my brand and publicity. I thank the media sources that helped advertise my real brand and career background. I will continue to promote as a best selling author and I am left to rebuild my businesses current day. I appreciate the media sending me over interview questions and allowing me to provide accurate information to the public. I am a known “brutally honest female” in every aspect of life. I am so used to giving people the honest truth that lying doesn’t even suite me. I believe if more people would learn “how to do the right thing” then we would live in a much better and nicer place.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
A very big part of my legacy is that I am huge advocate for change and a voice of reason. I am a known warrior for the right cause and purpose. Which means, if I chose to fight then just step out of my way because you will never stop me. I take some very strong stands and issues in this country and I won’t back down. While everyone else is lying down in defeat from battles then I am still fighting with this “never give up” attitude. There have been some very big names and company owners that selected me personally to take a government fights on their behalf in prior years. I often act as the mediator for other people and their fights.
In short, I am excellent at winning battles often but I don’t always enjoy the fight. Some of our biggest warriors have the biggest hearts that match action.
There is another side of me and my personal life. I can be very laid back, private and fun in nature. I worked hard to gain a peaceful life with less drama. I have a gift with taking care of people and I am generous too many. I will actually remove toxic people from my personal life because I don’t enjoy unnecessary fights and drama. I have developed healthier boundaries and more manageable lifestyle for the family and people that I love.
