Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Keyla Wood of Los Angeles

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Keyla Wood. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Keyla, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I love to start every day about peace and quietness, making it about gratitude appreciation. I love to have that time in the morning to make it just about myself, things I have to do, goals. I want to achieve, how my body is feeling everyday, my mind, my heart, what I consider I should put energy on, etc. Great coffee in the morning is always appreciated. I love to do fasting although the other days I love to have incredible breakfast.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Keyla Wood, I’m originally from Mexico City. I’ve been an actress my whole life and entrepreneur. Now I’m the creative Director and mind behind TheWoodPr, a boutique agency that builds and elevates public image, branding, and narratives for high-end clients, public figures, and companies.

What makes TheWoodPr unique is that every strategy we create is tailor-made — I don’t believe in generic formulas. I work across entertainment and business, guiding brands, entrepreneurs, and public figures in shaping powerful narratives that position them strategically for visibility, credibility, and long-term growth. My company connects entertainment, media, and business through a personalized and global approach. We’ve positioned remarkable talents and visionary brands in official mainstream media, helping them shape their voice and story with authenticity and impact.

As an actress, I understand how visibility changes careers — and as an entrepreneur, I make sure my clients experience that transformation. Right now, I’m expanding TheWoodPr worldwide, developing conferences, creative productions, and signature events that blend storytelling, empowerment, and strategy on a world-class level.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
What breaks connections between people, in my experience, is when integrity stops being the center of their actions. For me, integrity comes before anything — it’s the foundation of trust. You can’t build real teamwork or genuine relationships without it. I value integrity first, then intelligence and knowledge, because talent without integrity eventually destroys itself.

The moment people are given even a small amount of power or access, their true character shows. I pay attention to how they shift — their behavior, their energy, their sense of self. When that change happens, it reveals whether they were genuinely aligned with integrity or just drawn to the benefits of being within my circle. they reveal they were never truly aligned with the bigger vision.

When did you last change your mind about something important?
My mindset evolved when I understood that need creates vulnerability, while choice sustains power. Very early on, I recognized how easily desire, beauty, or circumstance could be used by others, and I learned to never operate from a position of need. Integrity and independence became my constants. Financial freedom affirmed to me what I always knew: clarity and control come when nothing or no one defines your direction.

Service, when practiced with awareness, carries refinement and strength — it’s a conscious act that brings balance, appreciation, and quiet satisfaction without ever diminishing power.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
The cultural value I protect at all costs is my language — speaking Spanish. Whether with friends, family, or even in business, Spanish allows me to connect on a deeper level. It’s not just communication; it’s identity. When I speak my native language, I’m fully myself — grounded, real, and connected to the essence of who I am and where I come from. And of course, I cannot miss the presence of the basics of Mexican cuisine. My food, my flavors and all those fantastic memories that I get every time I try something Mexican.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When have you had to bet the company?
I’ve had to bet my company many times — every time I decide who to work with, and sometimes, who not to continue with. Each choice shapes the direction of my brand. I always put my clients’ needs and best interests first, but above all, I protect the integrity of my company. My name stands behind every project and every person we represent. Clients come to TheWoodPr because they already recognize that trust and confidence are our foundation — and that’s something I would bet everything on every single day!
