Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Krem Miskevich of Vineyard Haven, MA

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Krem Miskevich. Check out our conversation below.

Krem, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
All of the above, but if I were to choose, it would be energetic integrity.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Krem Miskevich, a human being, and the chef and owner of Good Pierogi and Good Dining. Two sibling culinary projects, currently based in Martha’s Vineyard. Good Pierogi is a traveling Eastern European pop up, and Good Dining is a boutique private dining and catering company. Both projects live out the same ethos of cooking with as many locally grown and raised ingredients as possible, but in different contexts. Good Pierogi came to life because I lacked good Polish food around me, and Good Dining was created out of the need for a creative outlet that allows for impulsive, artistic cooking that is very much based on what’s being harvested and foraged in any given moment.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
My experience in every space filled with people. It’s very easy to learn what NOT to do and what energy NOT to bring into the workspace.

When did you last change your mind about something important?
In this day and age, my mind is changed about “important” matters every day. I believe it’s crucial to stay open and flexible, as opposed to fixed and rigid. We all have something to learn from each other.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Integrity and honesty.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
A free, weightless being.
