We’re looking forward to introducing you to Lance A. Slatton . Check out our conversation below.
Hi Lance A., thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
What truly matters most to me as I build my career and my media conglomerate is the impact I make through integrity, compassion, and service. Over the last few years, I’ve had the privilege of founding and expanding All Home Care Matters into a nationally recognized, multiple award-winning platform—one that includes a podcast, YouTube series, educational content, and advocacy resources for families, caregivers, and senior care professionals.
My accomplishments reflect this commitment. All Home Care Matters has received the YouTube Silver Creator Award for surpassing 100,000 subscribers, multiple Communicator Awards for excellence in health and wellness programming, several prestigious w3 Awards—including Gold for Branded Entertainment in Health & Wellness, and the 2024 International Impact Book Award for my Family Caregivers’ Guide. In addition, I’ve been honored as a “50 Under 50” leader and named Top Influencer for Healthcare and Advocacy, while Enriched Life Home Care Services, where I serve as Senior Case Manager, has been recognized as Michigan’s #1 home care provider for four consecutive years.
But these achievements mean the most because they enable my broader mission: to elevate voices in the senior care space, produce meaningful storytelling, and offer vital resources that empower families nationwide. Building this media conglomerate has never been about the accolades alone—it’s about making lasting change in an industry too often overlooked and about creating a community rooted in empathy, education, and trust.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Lance A. Slatton, widely recognized as “The Senior Care Influencer,” and I’ve dedicated over 20 years to advancing the quality of care, resources, and advocacy for seniors, caregivers, and families. As the senior case manager of Enriched Life Home Care Services—Michigan’s premier home care provider—and the founder and host of the award-winning All Home Care Matters media platform, my work bridges frontline experience with visionary leadership. What began as a local commitment to supporting families in Michigan has grown into a full-scale media conglomerate, including a top-ranked podcast and YouTube channel that have reshaped the conversation around elder care both nationally and globally.
All Home Care Matters was born out of the need to elevate the voices of caregivers, industry leaders, and families navigating aging and long-term care. During the pandemic, I pivoted from in-person education and support to digital content, quickly building a resource-rich hub that now commands millions of views, subscribers, and listeners worldwide. Beyond providing practical advice and in-depth interviews, my goal is to challenge outdated systems, champion innovation, and bring empathy and dignity to the forefront of how we think about aging and caregiving.
Throughout this journey, I’ve been honored with multiple prestigious awards—including being named to the “50 Under 50” and “Top Healthcare Influencer,” the YouTube Silver Creator Award, the 2024 and 2025 Communicator Awards for excellence in healthcare series and campaigns, the w3 Gold Award for Branded Entertainment, and the International Impact Book Award for my work in caregiving. Outside of my media work, I also serve as a board member for leading senior-focused organizations and regularly contribute as a writer and featured speaker across the industry.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple but deeply held belief: progress in senior care comes from amplifying unheard stories, fostering genuine community, and relentlessly pursuing better outcomes for every family we serve. That’s the mission that powers my story, my brand, and every project I take on.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
I can honestly say that my grandparents were the guiding lights that shaped both my personal values and my vision for my career in senior care. Growing up, I was fortunate to witness firsthand the wisdom, kindness, and resilience my grandparents embodied each day. Their influence taught me about patience, dignity, and the true meaning of service—lessons that continue to inspire everything I do.
Their love and their stories instilled in me a deep respect for older adults and a sense of responsibility to advocate for those who deserve to be heard and supported as they age. It was their example that drove me to create All Home Care Matters and dedicate my career to making a difference for families and caregivers everywhere. Every accomplishment and every step I take in this field is a tribute to their legacy, and I strive to honor them by working to bring greater compassion, resources, and hope to the senior care community.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I were to speak to my younger self, I would say this: Trust the journey, even when the path seems uncertain or the obstacles feel overwhelming. Believe in the power of your values—especially integrity, compassion, and resilience—as these will be your compass through every challenge and decision. Know that your voice matters, and the work you’re drawn to in senior care and advocacy will not only impact individual lives but also shape a movement toward kindness and dignity for all elders and caregivers.
Remember, success is not just about titles or awards—it’s about the genuine connections you build, the trust you earn, and the hope you bring to families during their most vulnerable moments. Be patient and persistent; progress in this field often comes slowly, but every step forward is meaningful. Keep learning, listening, and leading with heart, and in time, your commitment will inspire others to join and amplify the cause. Your younger self is stepping into a calling that will transform lives, so embrace it with courage and humility.
Above all, don’t be afraid to be bold in your vision and relentless in your pursuit of making senior care better—because that is where true legacy is made.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the public version of me is truly the real me, because authenticity is at the core of who I am. I believe that living with integrity means showing up as your full self—whether the world is watching or not. There’s no separation between my public and private life because my mission to help others is genuine and relentless, not driven by recognition or reward. I am deeply committed to uplifting caregivers, seniors, and families even when there’s nothing in it for me personally because I know the profound impact kindness and support can have during life’s most vulnerable moments. This commitment isn’t a performance; it’s a reflection of my values and the very essence of who I am. Helping others is not just what I do; it’s who I am, in public and in private alike.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
Absolutely, yes—I am doing exactly what I was born to do, not just what I was told to do. Early on, I set out on a path to medical school, driven by a deep desire to help others and make a tangible difference in people’s lives. That calling to serve never wavered, but over time, I realized that healing and care extend far beyond traditional medicine. It’s about the holistic well-being of individuals and families, especially in the senior care community, where compassion and understanding can transform difficult moments into ones filled with dignity and hope.
That realization led me to co-create Enriched Life Home Care Services, where our mission goes beyond providing care—it’s about enriching lives through support, respect, and advocacy. This has been profoundly fulfilling, but I wanted to amplify this impact even further. That’s why I expanded into media with All Home Care Matters, a platform designed not only to educate but to elevate the voices of caregivers, seniors, and experts. Through the podcast, YouTube show, and our broader media organization, I am able to reach millions, share vital resources, and challenge the way society views aging and caregiving.
So yes, I am exactly where I was always meant to be—helping others in meaningful, evolving ways. It’s a calling rooted in my earliest aspirations but made richer and more expansive by the experiences and lessons on the journey. This work—the service, the education, the advocacy—is the truest expression of my purpose. It’s not just what I do; it’s who I am, and every day I get to live that truth fully.
