Hi Leo , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
A recent moment that made me feel proud is when I put together a Pop Up Shop with some friends in my borough of Brooklyn. I was proud of the turn out of the crowd that come out. It was fulfilling and Im thankful for the support. It is a cool experience thinking about planning an event and everything turns out as you anticipated. Feeling proud that all the online marketing and word of mouth assisted in my brand awareness which eventually led to a successful Pop Up event.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name Leo and Im from Brooklyn, New York and I own a clothing brand called Last Throne. I love fashion and art. I am a designer for Last Throne Clothing. Last Throne is a clothing brand that message is to inspire people to believe in themselves and that we all are Kings & Queens. I feel it is important for us all to embrace your own uniqueness. What makes Last Throne interesting is that it is brand that is a book each collection is a chapter in the book. At the moment there are 8 chapters in the book. Each chapter has it own title and theme. What makes the brand special is that the art comes from a real place. Right now I am working on putting together Pop Up Shops all throughout New York City and inspiring other entrepreneurs to never give up on their dreams.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with fashion and music has shaped me as I see myself the most. Music has helped me as an art form to express how I feel and I use music to shape the theme of my artwork. I love listening to all types of music and I use music as a voice for my art. Fashion has helped shape me for my self expression and creativity. In both music and fashion I see colors which helps plays a role in the vibe. Music and fashion as always correlated with each other for me. I can hear a song and create a design which I think is cool. The relationship between both fashion and music is what helps bring Last Throne together as one on the creative side. My relationship with both will forever shape me as I see myself.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I can say one kind thing to my younger self I would say always stay positive no matter the situation. I feel positivity is the key to any situation. When I was younger I been thru so much obstacles and whenever I was not positive the end result was not good. Staying positive throughout the years is what helped me get to this point where Im at today. Remaining positive is what help birth Last Throne.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
The biggest project Im committed to is Last Throne Clothing. I feel like great things take time. I love the art of fashion so much it doesn’t matter how long it takes as long as it is done correctly. Regarding, Last Throne I take my time with each design and let it come to me naturally. It is more than just a clothing brand it is a lifestyle. Each day I dedicate myself to the art. No matter the oblobactles my goal is to take Last Throne to a new level each other and inspire the people around me thru fashion. I am a type of individual if Im committed to something I put my all into it. Most importantly, I love the art.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I am designing and listening to music. I look at designing as therapy and my best way of self expression. I look at peace as a state of mind, so when Im listening to music it put me in a certain state of peace. At times I have so many thoughts going thru my mind and when designing it helps bring those thoughts to life. The beauty about fashion is that it brings people together and I love bringing people together. When meeting new people thru fashion or music I am able to get different points of views which also helps me with my designs.
