Lina Verovaya shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Lina, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
What’s been bringing me the most joy lately is simply learning how to be a wife. My husband and I got married recently, and there’s such sweetness in figuring out what our life together looks like, from everyday rituals like cooking dinner side by side to bigger adventures like camping trips where we disconnect from everything else. It feels like we’re building not just memories, but the foundation of a life that’s ours. That sense of partnership, discovery, and shared laughter has been the most joyful part of my days.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Lina, a visual storyteller with a background in design, photography, and painting. I’ve spent the last several years helping brands bring their stories to life online, while also creating art that’s deeply personal to me. What makes my work unique is how I approach everything with the same lens of beauty, connection, and authenticity , whether it’s a social media campaign, a styled shoot, or a canvas. Outside of work, I love going on missionary trips with my church, which has taken me to places like Japan, Alaska, and Mexico, and soon to Kyrgyzstan. Those experiences remind me of the bigger picture and keep me grounded in purpose. Right now I’m especially excited about blending my creative worlds, working on projects that feel less like content and more like an experience people can connect with and carry with them.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that has most shaped how I see myself is my relationship with God. Through Him, I’ve learned that my worth isn’t based on what I achieve but on who I am in His eyes. That truth has grounded me in seasons of doubt, given me courage to step into new places, and reminded me that my purpose is always bigger than myself. It’s a relationship that continually reshapes how I move through the world, with more faith, more love, and more grace.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that has held me back the most is the fear of not being enough. For a long time, I let self-doubt whisper that I wasn’t qualified enough, talented enough, or ready enough to step into certain opportunities. But over time, through my faith and through experience, I’ve learned that growth happens on the other side of that fear. I’m realizing that it’s not about being ‘enough’ by the world’s standards, but about showing up with authenticity and trusting that God equips me for where He’s placed me.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
I think my closest friends would say that what really matters to me is community, showing up and being present for the people I love. I care deeply about making others feel seen and supported, whether that’s celebrating their wins, sitting with them in hard moments, or simply sharing everyday life together. Relationships are everything to me, and I try to be the kind of friend who reminds people they’re never walking through life alone.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I had 10 years left, I would stop overthinking and second-guessing myself. I’d stop letting fear or comparison hold me back and focus on the people I love, the adventures I’ve been dreaming of, and the work God’s called me to do. I would even quit my job and pursue something I truly love, something that lights me up and makes me feel alive every day. I’d spend more time traveling, exploring new places, and embracing experiences that challenge me and help me grow. Most of all, I’d make space to savor every ordinary moment, the quiet mornings, the laughter with friends, the simple joys that often pass by unnoticed, because life is far too short to wait for ‘someday.’
