Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Lisanne Messinger of Woodland Hills, Ca.

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Lisanne Messinger. Check out our conversation below.

Lisanne, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: When was the last time you felt true joy?
On the beach in Spain surrounded by my family and friends.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My first art class ever was the day of my 60th birthday. I can’t draw and I love mixing colors together so I chose abstract painting. Working for 40 years as a hair colorist made this an easy decision.
Absolutely fell in love with painting the very first day.
Besides my family it is the thing that makes me the happiest.
I have 3 paintings hanging in the restaurant CASALENA in Woodland Hills. It is the most beautiful restaurant and the food is amazing.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
My Father had a family owned furniture store. Everyone worked there at different times of their lives. As a child I dusted 3 floors of furniture. Getting older I realized I was very good at picking fabric samples for clients. He always said give him 5 minutes and he could find something he had in common with each customer..
I used this information with every new client as a hair colorist.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Never

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My family and friends

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
On the beach with my family
