Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with MK Feldman

MK Feldman shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning MK, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Who are you learning from right now?
I am constantly learning from my peers — branding managers, fellow social media managers, and small business owners like myself. It is inspiring to grow together, compare strategies, and bounce ideas off one another.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m MK, the face behind Magnolia House Media, a social media agency dedicated to helping small to mid-size businesses stand out online. I am your go-to gal for all things social media — from content creation to strategy — working mostly with local businesses throughout Philadelphia and the Main Line, with the occasional creative adventure down in Florida.

What makes Magnolia House Media special is the time and attention I put into truly understanding each brand I work with. I do not believe in one-size-fits-all content — I tailor everything to the personality, goals, and heartbeat of each business so their online presence actually feels like them.

Outside of work, I am a full-time mom raising two boys, and this business has given me a creative outlet beyond sports, dinosaurs, and snack duty. I love that I get to help other business owners grow while building something meaningful for myself, too.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that has most shaped how I see myself is the one I share with my older brother, Mackie. He has been by my side through every high and low, cheering me on through every new idea, adventure, and wild endeavor I dream up. Even though we live far apart, we talk multiple times a week, and he always finds a way to ground me and lift me up at the same time.

He reminds me of the girl I used to be — the one running barefoot through the woods, fearless, curious, and completely herself. And in those moments, he helps me see that she is still very much a part of who I am today. His support, honesty, and unwavering belief in me shape the way I move through the world.

And honestly… I hope I do at least half of that for him.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there have definitely been moments where I felt like throwing in the towel. But those times made me stop, take a breath, and remember why I started in the first place. Looking back, those “almost” moments were really the ones that pushed me to grow, get creative, and keep moving forward.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
1,000% yes! The tone I use on my own social media, the photos I post, the content I share — it’s all me. Some days it is less makeup, more athleisure with a mom bun, but I like to keep it real. That way, when potential or standing clients see what I put out, they know exactly who and what they’re working with. It is a great way to connect with people whose personalities are the right fit.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Are you tap dancing to work? Have you been that level of excited at any point in your career? If so, please tell us about those days.
The moments that energize me most are when I get to go onsite with a client and film content. It gets me out of my office, gives me some fresh air, and lets me interact and be creative in a whole new environment.

Some clients bring me to a different location every time, which keeps things exciting, and others have big teams at a large office, so I get to meet tons of people and even help them with their own social media goals. Those days remind me why I love what I do — they are fun, inspiring, and never the same twice.
