Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Myriam Lopez of Montreal

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Myriam Lopez. Check out our conversation below.

Myriam, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity matters most to me. Intelligence and energy are important, but without integrity, they don’t mean much. Being honest, staying true to your values, and doing the right thing—especially when it’s not easy—that’s what really counts.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a trilingual actor, a mom, and a professional organizer. I’ve had the chance to work in both TV shows and films, which has been such an incredible experience. I love the balance I’ve found between my organizing work and my acting career—each one brings something unique to my life, and together they keep things exciting and meaningful.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
What breaks the bonds between people for me is when trust is broken. Trust is the foundation of any meaningful relationship, and once it’s damaged, it’s really hard—almost impossible—for me to fully restore it. I believe in honesty and loyalty, so when that’s compromised, it changes everything.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes! MANY times. Being an actor is one of the hardest careers out there. The constant rejection, the uncertainty, the emotional highs and lows—it can really wear you down. There were definitely moments where I questioned if it was worth it. But somehow, the passion always pulled me back. Every small win, every role, every moment on set reminds me why I started in the first place.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
100%—what you see is what you get. I’m the same person in public as I am in private. I can’t stand fake energy or pretending to be someone I’m not. Being real and staying true to myself is something I take seriously, no matter who’s watching.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I’m definitely doing what I was born to do—even if it took me many years to finally get here. It wasn’t always a straight path, and for a long time, I wasn’t fully living in my purpose. But now, I’m doing what I love and what I truly believe I was meant to do. And honestly, there’s nothing more fulfilling than that.
