Hi Patricia , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Its a regular routine of coffee, yoga, breakfast and social media engagement

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, I’m Patricia Mitchell — Owner & Creative Artist of The Victorian Muse

Step into my world, as the visionary force behind The Victorian Muse — a sanctuary of soulful artistry, vintage elegance, and eco-conscious enchantment. As both owner and Creative Artist, I curate a spellbinding blend of refinished heirlooms, handcrafted treasures, and poetic design that invites you to live beautifully and intentionally.

With my heart rooted in sustainability and a spirit steeped in Victorian charm, I transform forgotten relics into timeless pieces that speak to the soul. My creations — from ethereal crowns to bespoke linens and ritual-inspired décor — are more than objects; they’re invitations to slow down, reconnect, and celebrate the magic in everyday life.

Whether I am sourcing antique finds, designing seasonal collections, or crafting spiritual adornments, i infuse each piece with story, intention, and a touch of the mystical. The Victorian Muse isn’t just a shop — it’s a movement for enchanted living, guided by an artistry and reverence for beauty that lasts.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
What I Once Believed… and What I Now Know

As a child, I believed I had to mold myself into what my parents expected—quiet, polished, pleasing. I thought being truly me wasn’t enough. That my authenticity had to be tucked away to make others proud.

But now I know the truth: they never wanted a performance. They wanted my joy. My freedom. My happiness.

Today, I create from that place of truth. I live as the artist I was always meant to be—unapologetically expressive, deeply intuitive, and rooted in love. The Victorian Muse is my reclamation: a space where authenticity isn’t just allowed—it’s celebrated.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The Fear That Held Me Back

For years, the loudest voice wasn’t the world’s—it was my own.
Whispers of “not enough,” echoes of “who do you think you are?”
Self-doubt wrapped itself around my confidence like ivy, beautiful but choking.

I tiptoed around my gifts, afraid to claim them.
Afraid that being seen meant being judged.
Afraid that my art, my truth, my magic… might not be worthy.

But fear is a liar.
And confidence isn’t a destination—it’s a ritual.
Every brushstroke, every crown, every curated relic from The Victorian Muse is a reclamation.
A reminder that I am not here to shrink.
I am here to shine.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
What I’m Committed To—No Matter How Long It Takes

I believe in a world where beauty doesn’t come at the cost of the planet.
Where homes are styled with intention, not excess.
Where every purchase is a vote for artistry, sustainability, and soul.

I’m committed to sustainable living—not just as a trend, but as a way of being.
To curating spaces that feel sacred, personal, and alive.
And to normalizing what should never have been niche: shopping small, supporting local, and choosing handmade over mass-produced.

The Victorian Muse is my love letter to that belief.
A place where vintage finds are reborn, where eco-chic meets enchantment, and where every piece tells a story worth keeping.

This isn’t a sprint. It’s a lifelong devotion.
And I’ll keep showing up—refining, creating, and inviting others to join me—until this vision becomes the norm.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
The Story I Hope They Tell

She never gave up.
Not when it was hard. Not when it was lonely. Not when the world said “be realistic.”
Patricia held her dream like a lantern in the dark—steady, glowing, defiant.

She dared others to believe in theirs.
To create wildly. To live beautifully. To trust the whisper that says “you were made for this.”

Through The Victorian Muse, she built more than a shop.
She built a movement. A sanctuary. A reminder that magic is real, and it’s handcrafted.

She lived with intention. Styled with soul.
And left behind a trail of courage for others to follow.

Or something like that lol I’m sure my son who is also a creative will put his spin on it.
