We’re looking forward to introducing you to Peter Roesler. Check out our conversation below.
Peter, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
I wake up around 4.45am, drink a few expressos while doing the new NYT puzzles to get my brain going. Then head to gym at 6am – 7am, come home, shower, eat 6 eggs, fresh coco water and steak some days, then I take the dogs to the beach and I paddle out and surf for a few hours at Surfer’s Beach here in Aguadilla, after surfing, shower again to get the salt off (best showers ever!) then eat steak again, then I jump on the computer and knock out my emails and follow up on stuff my team is working on, then lately the super fun stuff, I spent endless hours learning VEO3 and I love it! I have been making tons of videos and I have my chickens incorporated in all of the videos, it’s so freaking cool that anything I can think up I can create now. AI is insane. Eventually I need a break and I head over to a beach bar and have a couple coronas while I paint on black bamboo and black canvas with super bright colors and record it and post them on YouTube (I love art). Days not over yet! lol. Around 5pmish I head back to the house, make dinner (usually more steak) and hang out with the kids, then around 8pmish I usually start brainstorming and working on creatives again, I am more creative at night, this usually lasts till 930ish-1030ish and then I try to wind down and go to bed, I like to listen to an audio book for an hour while I lay in bed trying to fall asleep.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
hello everyone! my name is Peter Roesler first and foremost I am a husband, father, author, creator, entrepreneur, artist, gardener, and the President of Small Business SEO (the best marketing company EVER!)
Small Business SEO is the ultimate digital marketing weapon for businesses ready to dominate. Founded in 2009 by me (lol), we’ve built a legacy on bold execution, no BS, and results that deliver.
Our mission? To blow the competition out of the water and put your business on top. Whether it’s crushing Google rankings, managing high-performance Google Ads, or taking over social media, our team of Google Certified professionals got the skills, tools, and guts to make it happen.
We don’t follow trends. We set them. With cutting edge AI-driven strategies, we predict market shifts, outsmart algorithms, and adapt faster than your competitors can blink. Your business deserves nothing less than the best, and that’s exactly what we deliver.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
When I was in my mid 20s I found out I had testicular cancer. That hit hard. First time in my life I realized I could die. I wasn’t invincible even though I always thought I was. I hadn’t done anything. There was so much more I wanted to see, to do, to taste, to touch, to feel, to live. Surgery went well, but I the recovery and healing was hard. I was stuck in a room all day and all I did was watch TV and think and I thought a lot, probably too much. But I needed it, it was like a rebirth. Once I got out of bed and got back in the water (surfing) everything seemed brighter, things made sense, I wanted life, to live, to do more, existing and coasting was no longer any type of option. I would live. Time can’t be replaced and I wanted to enjoy the time I had, not waste it.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There are so many times in my life I have almost given up. So many times I didn’t think I could, I would, I should. I just keep repeating to myself something my friend Katie used to say to me all the time “You Are Stronger than You Think”. Those words keep me going strong, keep me pushing when it hurts, keep me on track. I won’t give up, I will fight, I will get back up, I have no choice, I will finish. I am stronger than I think and so are you. Finish.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I have been building this AI detection tool. I filed a patent for an AI tool that will let users know if the images, videos, or text is AI or not. I’ve been coding and working on this and have a semi working prototype that’s pulling info in real time on a dev server. I think we need this ethically now since most of what’s on the internet isn’t real anymore and it’s scary.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
My dividend reinvestments stocks won’t pay off for 20 years, but the payoff will set me up for life, so good things do come to those who wait and slow and steady does win the long term race. At 48 that sounds like a long time, but I can’t tell you how quick the last 10 years have gone and with 4 kids growing up all around you, it feels quicker. My oldest is 17 and youngest 6 so seeing my oldest go from the 6 year old to being bigger then me is a wild trip.
