Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Rick Warner

Good morning Rick, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
I’m always chasing to improve upon myself with everything I do. I don’t think I could ever stop chasing to try and improve on myself, which includes being honest with myself and asking what could I do in my life to make me a better person? This could apply to many things such as your job, your education, and how you interact and treat other people.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Well let’s just say that I am a man of many hats maybe sometimes too many hats as that’s what I’m told by a few people close to me. Sometimes I tend to want to take on too many projects. Currently, I’m the Executive Director for ERC- Extraterrestrial Research Center and I investigate a few selected cases and also I have a website at ERC for those that are interested in extraterrestrial subject matter. I’m also the Lead Investigator and Director of Client Relations for Phantom Detectives Paranormal Research Team that have made several TV and public appearances as well as many other forms of media. I’m also a video content course creator, and the Director of my team, and myself have put together several instructional video lecture series such as: the “Paranormal Investigator Master Class Certification Course” and the “UFO/UAP Certified Investigator Training Course” available on the Udemy website.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child early on, I didn’t have a lot of confidence in myself, and wasn’t sure if I could ever amount to anything in life. Fast-forward many years later, I feel that with hard work and determination I could create many successful accomplishments in my life. I continue to strive to get better and continue to make improvements in my life.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Never let people fill you with negativity and make you think that you can’t be successful in life. Believe in yourself and don’t let negative comments make you feel like you can’t make great accomplishments in this world.. if you stay persistent and work hard, you can do great things!

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, and I never try to be someone that I’m not and how you see me in the public is the person that I truly am. I always try to remain genuine and treat myself..

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people will always remember me as someone who was kind and caring to other people not just about how many successful things have come my way, but more importantly, they will look at how I treat other people with kindness and respect. I always believe in life treat other people the way you feel you would also like to be treated..
