We’re looking forward to introducing you to Samantha. Puckett. Check out our conversation below.
Samantha., we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
I’m chasing momentum in my photography business, my confidence and self direction. I’m trying to grow, be seen and improve my craft and finally feel like I’m “there”. A version of myself that feels accomplished and in control.
If I stopped chasing, It would be for nothing. I have put to much time, energy and love into this passion. I never want to stop learning and growing in to the best version of myself for myself and clients.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Samantha Puckett Photography. I’m a family photographer who specializes in light and airy, and true to color imagery that feels warm, joyful, and real. I capture families, seniors, pets, and lifestyle moments, and life’s sweetest seasons with a style that’s timeless and not trendy.
What I do:
I document genuine connection and natural emotion, creating images that feel like memories- soft, bright, and full of life. From beach sessions and holiday mini’s to in-home lifestyle sessions and special events, I focus on storytelling with heart and simplicity.
What makes my brand interesting:
My work blends, clean, consistent editing with a fun, easygoing experience that helps families feel more comfortable and connected. I bring a personal touch- your dogs, your kids, your chaos, your joy- and turn it into beautifully polished photographs that feel authentic. People choose me for the experience and emotion, not just the photos.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
Who taught me the most about work? I did. Life didn’t give me many options, but it gave me drive. If I wanted a life I was proud of, I had to work for it- and that’s exactly what I’ve done.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that’s held me back the most has been caring too much about what other people’s opinions- letting their potential judgements outweigh my own confidence.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say my family is at the center of everything I do, and that my heart is one of the things that defines me the most.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m editing photos. There’s something calming about knowing the moments I’m working on will become keepsakes for families for years to come.
