Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Shandi of The Hill Country

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Shandi . Check out our conversation below.

Shandi , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about your customers?
Doing this for almost 10 years now, I can confidently say I really do that the sweetest and best customers. They are loyal, thoughtful, giving and I truly love trying my best at taking care of them with my craft.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m Shandi Tabler, married my high school sweetheart, mom of two cuties, love Jesus, living on caffeine, self taught at home baker.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
Both of my parents will drop whatever they are doing for themselves to go helps others any time of the day. My dad though is the hardest worker I have and may ever know. He is also incredibly handy and somehow knows how to fix anything which has motivated me to be handy and resourceful as well.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I guess I’d tell my younger self is what I tell my young children which is to work hard, be kind to others and be Jesus’ light and love to others.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
My most important role in life right now is being a mom. My husband and myself try to work as a team to be intentional in teaching and growing our littles to be wonderful, thoughtful, kind, strong and wise people. I love that I get to do my baking business and show my babies how to work hard and put love into your craft.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
Going on trails in nature with my family and friends on a beautiful cool day.
