Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Taylor Krauser of Charleston

Taylor Krauser shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Taylor, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
Lately, I’ve felt called to jump into the education side of photography and sharing more on Tiktok and Youtube. Its easy to stay in my comfort zone behind the camera, but I’ve realized how much I love helping others grow their business and I also enjoy educating upcoming brides for their wedding day!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Taylor, the photographer behind Taylor Jordan photography! My work is all about capturing heartfelt moments between couples with an editorial & fashion forward twist. I shoot both film and digital photography during weddings and have also recently added Super 8 video for my clients!

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I always thought I was shy and that it was a bad thing! As I got older, I realized I’m just more observant and like to recharge on my own. I still wont be the loudest person in the room but I definitely speak my mind and love connecting with people on a one-on-one level.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Time flies so enjoy the little moments, laugh more, spend as much time with your loved ones as possible and don’t stress the small stuff!

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
The wedding industry often discourages doing something unconventional, but couples who follow their own path, break traditional rules and do their own thing usually have the most meaningful experiences!

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m cuddled up on the couch with my husband watching a movie or taking a walk around the neighborhood with my mom!
