We recently had the chance to connect with Tia Metaxas and have shared our conversation below.
Tia, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
Doing yoga, painting and swimming in the Greek islands.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Tia Metaxas — a bold marketer, content creator, and certified yoga teacher with a passion for helping brands and people find their most authentic expression. With over nine years of experience crafting innovative marketing strategies, I’ve built a career rooted in creativity, purpose, and results.
I describe myself as a Bold Global Marketer. Results Driver. Solution Finder. I thrive on creating impactful, strategy-led campaigns that not only deliver measurable outcomes but also tell meaningful stories. My experience spans both B2B and B2C industries — from wellness and beauty to lifestyle and technology — and my approach always blends data-driven thinking with human connection.
What makes my journey unique is how I combine strategic marketing expertise with mindfulness and creativity. My 200-hour yoga teacher training gave me a deeper understanding of connection — to self, to purpose, and to community — which I now bring into my work as a marketer and creator. Whether I’m building a campaign, developing content, or collaborating with a brand, my goal is always the same: to create with intention and impact.
I believe success is built on authenticity, courage, and consistency — and I’m passionate about helping others (and brands) express those values boldly.
Currently, I’m focused on developing strategic partnerships and wellness-led brand storytelling — bringing together the worlds of marketing, mindfulness, and modern entrepreneurship.
Favourite success mantra: Never give up. Use your voice.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I’ve always been a curious little girl — someone who wants to explore, learn, and pour love into everything that sparks joy. The world tells us how to be from such a young age — especially girls, who are told what to do, how to act, and who to be around.
I feel incredibly grateful for the freedoms and opportunities I have as a modern woman in 2025. I see the world as our playground, and that playful curiosity from my childhood has guided my adulthood. Grateful for the powerful women who shaped me — my mum and my grandmothers. Their strength and love taught me how to stand tall and stay soft.
Keeping that inner spark alive takes work, but it’s the kind that builds you — not the kind that breaks you.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
About five years ago, I made a conscious decision to turn a really difficult time in my life into fuel — passion-fuelled power, not pain. Sometimes our dreams can feel so big that fear keeps us small.
I learned to turn my pain into power by using my voice and standing up for myself — even when it felt uncomfortable. That shift changed everything.
My 200-hour yoga teacher training became a turning point; it grounded me and reconnected me to who I really am beneath the noise. It showed me that strength isn’t about being unshaken — it’s about breathing through what shakes you.
Pain can break you or build you. The power to choose is always yours.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
The biggest lie is that it truly cares about the customer — and that it’s transparent. Terms like ‘clean beauty’ or ‘ethical marketing’ are often used as buzzwords rather than values genuinely lived by brands.
So much of what we do in marketing is sales-driven rather than problem-led. The industry often convinces people they ‘need’ things they really don’t, prioritising business goals over real solutions.
I’m grateful to now align with brands and clients who genuinely care about their customers and are committed to transparency. The truth is, the companies that build honest, solution-focused relationships with their communities are the ones creating the kind of loyalty and trust that can’t be bought.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I’m doing what I was born to do — because that’s unstoppable. I’ve never been one to follow orders or be told what to do, and that drive to create my own path has guided everything I’ve pursued.
