Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Veronica Reddecliff of Sarasota, FL

Veronica Reddecliff shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Veronica, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Well, I’ve been doing a lot of wedding planning recently, which has been fun and exciting!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Veronica Reddecliff, the owner of Premier Personal Fitness, which is a concierge personal training company dedicated to helping people 55 and older feel stronger, healthier, and more confident—both physically and mentally. What makes Premier special is our personalized and supportive approach: every client is matched with a trainer who truly understands their goals, challenges, and lifestyle.
Beyond the gym, I’m passionate about building community – whether that’s through partnerships, special events, or projects that give back, like a the foundation I recently started with my siblings – to support kids who’ve lost a parent.
Besides for my business & foundation, I love to read, watch reality TV, and spend time with my dog!

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My husband has always been my biggest supporter. From the beginning of our relationship, he’s always championed my goals, and help me expand my dreams!

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
When I was five, my mom passed away from Ovarian cancer. Living the majority of my life without her, has been challenging, both mentally, physically, and emotionally. Over the past two years, I’ve done a lot of work in therapy to grieve and heal, both as my young girl who lost her mom, and as the adult I now am today. Together with my siblings, we started a foundation in my mom’s legacy, this past summer, and that has been very healing. Doing something to honor her, knowing that her legacy and impact with continue for many years to come, has been instrumental to my healing.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They would say that my most important things in my life are my friends, family, health, and my dog, Benji!

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I am 100% doing what I was born to do! It might have taken me a while to figure out my purpose, my role in this life, but better late than never! It was always my mission to have a career that I was passionate about, not just something to “pay the bills”. I knew that I was meant to help people, but I didn’t know how best to do that. It wasn’t until I was in my mid-20s that I realized a career in fitness was a way to help people. And it wasn’t until my late 20s that I realized I felt secure with it, in my role. It may have taken me longer to “find my purpose” but it was worth the wait!
