Lisa Love’s Stories, Lessons & Insights

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Lisa Love. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Lisa, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day, every day, are spent having coffee in bed with my husband. It’s our time to connect. We sit in the quietness of the morning and watch the sunlight come into the room. It’s a wonderful way to ease into the day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Lisa Love, and I am a dedicated ceramic artist. I work exclusively with the highest quality porcelain to create meticulous wheel-thrown pottery. My passion is to craft beautiful ceramic art forms that embody timeless elegance and gently imbue a sense of tranquility. The ceramics studio I own is nestled in the charming town of Oracle, located about a thirty-minute drive from my home. This drive to the studio is absolutely breathtaking, offering stunning desert scenery that continually inspires me and profoundly influences my creative work. At the very heart of my ceramics lies the concept of oneness; oneness with form, function, beauty, and simplicity, all coming together to reveal a deep quietness residing at the soul of each piece itself.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I thought I was shy, likely because others said so. Everyone has unique strengths and talents; we just need to let them shine, and I do.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You are enough.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I am deeply committed to using my God-given gifts and talents to their fullest potential, continually striving to grow and express them in meaningful ways throughout my life.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
No matter what activity I am engaged in, I find that I feel most at peace when I am fully present, completely immersed, and truly in the moment. It is in this state of mindful presence that a quiet calm washes over me, allowing me to connect deeply with the world around me.
