We’re looking forward to introducing you to Marsha Rowe. Check out our conversation below.
Marsha, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
I think one thing people secretly struggle with, but rarely admit, is fear. Fear shows up in so many ways: fear of not being good enough, fear of failure, fear of success, or even fear of the unknown. It can be such a quiet but powerful force in our lives.
In business, I unknowingly wrestled with fear for a long time. I would create beautiful pieces, but for some reason, I wouldn’t release them to the market. It wasn’t that the designs weren’t ready, it was that I was holding myself back.
The turning point came when I really studied and believed the scripture from 2 Timothy 1:7: ‘God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.’ Once I understood that fear wasn’t coming from God, I could finally see it for what it was. And when I saw it clearly, I was able to make changes.
From there, everything started to shift, I felt lighter, freer, and more confident moving forward. It was like a weight had been lifted. I share this because I believe many people are quietly battling fear, and if they can recognize it, they can also overcome it. Freedom and growth often sit just on the other side of fear
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Marsha Rowe, and I’m the artist and founder of Heavenly Beads & More, based in Augusta, GA. I create handcrafted jewelry and décor inspired by nature, spirituality, the elegance of the vintage era, the free flow of art, and architectural design. My work blends elegance with intention, each piece is designed not only to be worn or displayed, but to be experienced.
What makes my brand unique is the heart behind it. I don’t just see jewelry as an accessory or décor as decoration; I see them as forms of art that carry meaning and soul. Every design is infused with thoughtfulness, from the choice of materials to the energy I put into creating it. My goal is for people to feel a connection, whether that’s confidence, peace, or a sense of beauty, when they wear or display my pieces.
Over time, my work has become a way to share stories, celebrate individuality, and offer something lasting to those who resonate with my creations.
Right now, my focus is on refining my website, preparing new collections, and collaborating with other artists for an upcoming event. It’s an exciting season of growth, and I’m grateful for the chance to keep creating art that touches people on a deeper level.
At the heart of it all, I want Heavenly Beads & More to be more than just a brand, I want it to be an experience of beauty, meaning, and connection that people carry with them, whether they’re wearing a piece or displaying it in their space.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I would have to say my mom saw me clearly before I could see myself. She always recognized my creativity and potential, even when I couldn’t fully see it. She encouraged me to explore my talents and reminded me that what I had to offer was special and meaningful. Looking back, I realize how important it was to have someone who believed in me before I believed in myself. Her support helped give me the confidence to step into my artistry and build Heavenly Beads & More into what it is today.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there were definitely times when I almost gave up. Sales weren’t where I wanted them to be, and it made me question if I should keep going. Those moments were tough because I put so much heart into my work, and it felt discouraging when the results didn’t match the effort.
But through hard work, perseverance, and faith, I stayed the course, and over time, things began to improve. Looking back, I realize those challenges were part of the process. They strengthened me, taught me resilience, and reminded me why I started in the first place. I share this because I know many people feel like giving up when things don’t move as fast as they’d like, but if you keep going, growth really does come.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What truths are so foundational in your life that you rarely articulate them?
One foundational truth I rarely articulate, but that guides everything I do, is that my faith in God defines my choices more than anything. Without Him, I’m nothing, and remembering that gives me the courage to move forward even when fear or doubt arises.
Another guiding principle is that patience and persistence matter more than perfection. Growth, creativity, and success rarely happen overnight. they come from showing up consistently, trusting the process, and believing in your vision.
These truths help me create art, run my business, and live intentionally. I share them because I know many people quietly struggle with fear or impatience, and I want them to see that courage, clarity, and progress are possible when you stay grounded in what truly matters.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Absolutely. I’ve learned that true fulfillment comes from giving your best not for recognition, but because it’s a reflection of who you are and the values you hold. In my work as an artist and founder of Heavenly Beads & More, there were times when I created pieces that I poured my heart into, even when sales weren’t immediate or praise didn’t come.
What kept me going was faith, persistence, and a commitment to excellence. I reminded myself that the impact of my work isn’t always measured by immediate approval, it’s in the quality, intention, and energy I put into it.
Giving your best, even when no one notices, builds character, resilience, and confidence. It’s a practice that transforms not only your work, but also the way you live, create, and connect with others. And in the end, the effort itself becomes a reward.
