Meet ¥en Tran — Ambitious Vue

We recently connected with ¥en Tran and have shared our conversation below.

¥en, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
My generosity comes from my mom’s big heart and such genuine caring ways about her that’s real and authentic. When it comes to certain levels, maybe it’s already in me now that I am used to it by now or would want to meet another me and a better me. Had came across many who mentioned #PayItForward so I am a firm believer of keeping my word. It also depends on what it’s for and about as well, hence everything is earned, and not easily given.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am from Vietnam and currently residing in the United States. I love seeing new perspectives and getting better at anything I’m involved in.

When it comes to paying it forward and giving back to the community, I’m building a nonprofit that focuses on encouraging the kids to learn/play chess so they can gain the skills of speed and direction of intentional calculated moves for their life. Ambitious Direction.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
External Strengths — Gift of Gab. Body Language. Optimism. Decisive & Persuasive.

Internal Strengths — Discernment. Faithfulness with a Clear, Calm & Focused Mind.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
They sacrificed their decent ways of living in Vietnam to give me and my siblings a better opportunity to achieve more here in America. Imagine being comfortable with a lifestyle that you can speak and understand your first language in then coming to a completely new country and not knowing a speck of English. I’m eternally grateful.
